Ah, okay! Let’s see if any of the bumps from the last game are around.

Yeah but turns out it wasn’t as we both voted Success :D

Fair enough and no worries. I hope he gets that sorted and can join us in the future. It was cool having new players in the mix.

I toyed with the idea of playing the Spotlight on Rowe for the second quest, to force him to vote success, but decided it would just be suspicious when I failed the quest. So then I tired to signal instead.

I’ll have to be more careful. That was just me feeling bad about piling on you!

jostly, get in here!

Was it normal that only the evil folks were talking? Besides Christien, who was involved in the quests early, and Dave (go figure).

I always talk a lot…

I was so excited when scott actually turned out to be Evil…would have probably put a nail in my coffin if he was Good unless I could have somehow turned the group against him:

‘Inside the Mind of Oberon’
Quest 1a
Oh boy, I get to lead off the game. Which kind of sucks being Oberon as I have no clue what anyone else is and no one has even posted anything yet, post-role handout…

And HOLY CRAP that’s the Establish Confidence card…and I have to open up to someone. So either the game is essentially over for me OR Evil is in great shape as at least one other knows me (and I know them.) If I open up to a Good player, I’ll have to smear the feces of peasants all over their accusation. Will need to pick someone new I guess and play it off as their inexperience in our forum game. I’ll have to give it to scottagibson and hope for the best. He already commented about how even when I’m good, I play evil (based on last game) so if he’s good, I’ll have to use that comment to my best advantage. That seems to be my best move right now. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best - the other two cards will go out depending on how this goes…I also added a note about how I’ll give him the SL card if he reports my loyalty correctly as a possible trap. If he said I’m Good just to get the card then comes back and says I’m Evil, that looks pretty Evil on his part (hopefully.) I’m in a really rough position no matter what so I just have to hope I’ve played this the best I could.

time passes

OK, and now he’s reported that I’m Good, which means he’s either Evil or he’s Good and shamming to get the card. If he IS Good then he would assume that I trust he’s Evil…lots of crazy permutations to ponder. I seriously doubt the first party will be passed so no worries about potential double fails right now. I’m going to vote SUCCESS anyways, just in case. And now he’s not turning about and calling me Evil so it might make more sense to vote YES on this party though I initially was going with NO. If the party is somehow approved then I’m not sure how we’re going to decide who votes FAIL.

Everyone seems to be on board with this extremely Evil team so it looks like we’ll be questing!

I tried to slip a hint to scott that I’d be voting SUCCESS but it doesn’t look like it worked as we passed it. I thought he sent me a note that he’d be voting FAIL when he said this “What do you mean? I’m counting on you for a success vote!” to Christien. I think I read too much into it.

Now Christien is submitting the exact same party for Quest 2 so one of us is going to have to Fail it now. But which one of us? Maybe the plot cards will tell us something. Is Christien actually Evil? It doesn’t seem like it but I could have been extremely unlucky in my party choice.

Quest 2a

Everyone seems on board again for quest 2a, with the Good players most likely cringing and hoping they learn something after it fails. For fail it must! Some good plot cards came out but luckily Christien has mistakenly given one to scottagibson. We would have been in trouble if both vote cards were played for this quest. scott has signaled me quite successfully as to how I should vote so I’ll be expecting a big fail from him this time. I hope it wasn’t too obvious but I think the EC card from earlier is really influencing everyone’s perception of me so hopefully they won’t look too carefully.
This was so fucking frustrating for me.

Now if I somehow end up being Oberon again and draw the Establish Confidence card, then come out to a Good player and I try to make them look bad, please disregard anything in the above post.

It’s okay. I kind of got what you were on about, with you setting me up so early and obviously. You probably would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn’t been for those meddling kids.

All I know is, I was told I would get to stab someone. I’ve been robbed!

Yeah, if Clyve had reported Rob’s vote as Success, I would have had to point the finger at you big time, to try to keep the heat off of Rowe and me.

Quick – someone – make me a “stab me!” tapestry.

We’re waiting on one more. That’s why we haven’t started yet.

I could see that coming, especially with Blips announcing in advance that he’d be happy to be on board for that. It would have taken a long, slow turn for me to right the ship, and given how things were angled–and no Merlin to speak of–I’m not sure I could have done it.

You and rowe got very lucky at the beginning. And you capitalized on it well. Nicely done.

I re-read this as “pastry” so please make me one of those too.

Nuts.

I clicked hyperlink instead of image, I’m becoming as bad as fire now. (kidding kidding)
