I like your idea.

I know my views differ, but I think calling me some Russian troll is weird, I don’t support Russia and this war, I absolutely hate it…I don’t know why this is some label put on me. I am opinionated, I guess years in actual politics does that to you, god knows my mom berates me on this often.

I’ve seen every Perun and other military commentator I’ve gotten my hands on, but I wanted a different view…and I think there is another narrative to explore even if some here doesn’t like it.

Like what happened in Kherson just now, how did Russia just manage to retreat in that order, having 30 000 people do a crossing with their gear takes time…its really fucking hard to retreat infront of a very aggressive enemy, I wonder if they had some deal with Ukraine here.

They’ve been retreating for a month

Yes, but in 24 hours it all collapsed and they vanished, most towns Ukranie enter haven’t had any fighting in them, you can see them in the videos…
Either Russia pulled a masterstroke retreat, or something is up.

I think this retreat has been their best executed military maneuver to date

Russia just punted on retreating their rear-guard, told them to don civilian clothes and escape on their own. If Ukraine is able to track them down, they should have several thousand prisoners. It’s a war crime for a combatant to pretend to be a civilian so it isn’t usually done this way.

Russia fled as fast as they could. Very simple.

I don’t think it’s so much that everyone is considering you a troll or a tankie or whatnot, just that you’ve consistently been way far to the “Russia is actually doing great!” side. Full acknowledgement that Qt3 is a liberal board and as such will have liberal biases on what stories resonate, you’ve just been about 2x too hard on believing the other side.

For instance, you’ve just speculated that somehow RU and UA are in cahoots for the withdrawal. Doesn’t that seem to be quite unlikely to you? From a USA perspective, it’s like you lost a political seat but have decided rather than it being lost by the normal methods, since your side lost it’s now UFOs.

Actually, now that I go back a few times and read your posts, it might be that conspiracy/UFO/Bigfoot thing. I’m noticing that when information, hard information goes against your narrative, you double down or switch gears to something completely unrelated to try and maintain your narrative. Serious question: what is your position on UFOs and Bigfoot?

Russia has been signaling withdrawal from Kherson for at least a week now, so it’s not like this is something that they did all this hidden in the night.

In fact, there’s been reports of force withdrawals starting last week, but that Ukraine didn’t want to advance too fast because they’re worried about it being a trap.

Now that is a cunning play, I’ll grant 'em that. Loudly announce retreat, with a big mean this-is-not-a-trap-vibe. Use the time granted by the opponents cautious appoach to didi mau with all the valuable stuff. Tell the rest melt away.

In fact, the russians being un-stupid like that worries me.

I’m bluffing man, you better take that bet! I’m really bluffing dude! (slams a 6 and 3 down)

FWIW, I agree. I don’t think you’re a troll and I don’t agree with people labeling you as such. I admit to being totally nonplussed on why you want to believe the Russian propaganda so much, but I don’t think you’re bullshitting to try to get a rise out of people. Nor do I think you’re on Putin’s payroll. I do think you’re totally nuts on some of your hottakes though. ;)

Don’t believe Russian propaganda, djiz, but I do hear the other side of the story, and want to convey some of that…there were some worrying signals tbh.

As for Kherson withdrawal, I can’t know for sure, but in my opinion, withdrawing under fire, and into those chokepoints that Kherson bridges are, should have gotten REAL messy quickly…

Not sure why this didn’t happen, it could be a good way to gain a bargaining chip or something.

I start to feel really out of touch when Ukrainians start using words like “based” and I have no idea what they mean.

I’ll ask again, where do you fall on the idea of the broad theories of Bigfoot, aliens, UFOs, Loch Ness etc? I swear I’m not being mean or snarky, I think there can be reasonable discussions around any of those.

Believing that the world is an orderly place where everything happens for a reason, and not a chaotic one where sometimes shit just happens, is a surefire way to end up believing baseless conspiracy theories.

Ukrainian forces WERE bombarding the Russians as they evacuated - Russian feeds on Telegram were near hysterical during the evacuation about potential casualties… but as it happens both groups interests aligned in a way that reduced Russian casualties without any need for secret negotiations: the Russian desire to get the hell out of Kherson as quickly as possible, and the Ukrainian desire not to get their forces caught in a trap pursuing them.

My own take is that Russians were also signalling that they were using Ukrainians as civilian shields by broadcasting that civilians could also leave Kherson and also if stories are correct abducting 70,000 Ukrainians in the process. You want to target Russians but if they’ve mixed in civilians it would be a hard choice.

More on song here

Is thinking Russia is incompetent defines you as liberal?

It’s dusty in this place.
