This seems to be a pretty good video about the deficiencies and limitations of the Russian Air Force:

No one saw this coming

Edit:

Is just smoking accident, comrades, nothing to worry about.

Strelkov/Girkin declared that he starts a political career because Russian government is impotent. Will no one rid Putin of this turbulent bloger?

“Hell, just hell.”

Got convicted in absentia by a Dutch court for the shooting down of Malaysia Airlines flight MH-17.

So just extraditing his ass would solve that problem.

I think giving him out would be worse than him getting into a tragic car accident or something for Russian elites. They can then rename a street in Kherson in his honor and then Putin will mention him as some of the great Russian patriots.

Some quotes from Girkin’s speech:

Russia needs martial law, a military dictatorship, and a change in the elites for this dictatorship. Otherwise Russia will disintegrate.
(…)
Shoigu [Russia’s Minister of Defense] is a rare combination of a fool, a thief, and a scumbag as dumb as a cork.

I wholeheartedly support this war criminal on his holy quest.

Yeah, I do think “dumb as a cork” sounds pretty good even in English!

I didn’t realize they don’t say that in English, it’s very natural in Russian. I guess it’s “thick as a brick”. And the poet lifts his pen while the soldier sheaths his sword.

So first we have a pig with lasers…

…and now we have a muppet in a uniform??

Look, you’re sharing a thread with a talking watch (with his own sentient autocorrect) and an Australian Marsupial. You should be used to it by now.

According to UK MoD, it looks like Russia has been resupplied with more Iranian drones. More suffering for civilians in Ukraine. Merry Christmas. :(

+1 Thumbs up!

Very thought provoking interview with David Letterman about his interview with Zelensky.

Right? I wish half the Americans I know were as English-capable as Aleksei.

A sobering assessment of current Russian leadership and strategy:

As many experts noted early on, one reason Russia has failed so far is that they were not fighting according to Russian strategy. The question now is, what happens if they do.

Is it even possible now?

Yeah, isn’t it air superiority then rolling artillery and armor? Seems like they shot themselves in the foot, leg, and hip by now.

They tried a USA style attack, but that requires like…competent people on all levels.
The original style is just rolling artillery, armor is actually just secondary…

Which is why I think their supplies of artillery ammo is very very deep in deed, just like they just kept building tanks cause their factories have no off button and nobody had any ability to value the real cost of doing so.

They found out in 1988 I guess.
