Either way that ship is combat ineffective and has been for some time it seems. Reports from Syria seem to indicate it was not capable of more than token flight ops; one report someone mentioned had it flying 12 sorties a day with minimal loads because they use the ski jump and not a catapult and payloads suck. And its engines even on a good day are a disaster waiting to happen.
