Ambien walrus says “Invade Ukraine!”

That’s why national movements seem to me like a more likely spark. It’s hard to tell how entrenched Kadyrov in Chechnya actually is, and even if he himself won’t do something funny. There are other Caucasian republics, maybe Tatarstan. Many of these nations have grudges against Russia. They are traditionally less willing to put down their protests and it’s clear that in case of national liberation movement many countries across the globe will be willing to help.

Best sort of middle finger to Putin, really.

I’d never seen Pentagon Wars before. I watched it and enjoyed it based on the clip you shared. For some reason I didn’t recognize Cary Elwes and Viola Davis in the clip, but there they were. Thanks!

Putting the sheep in for the live fire test was great :)

Port holes in IFVs really only made sense for the Russian doctrine of simply pointing the division thataway and rolling through the clouds of chemicals and radioactivity they anticipated. For the most part, all they did was reduce hull integrity, complicate and clutter an already tight interior space, and contribute very little to offensive power, from what I’ve read.

A not so Happy New Year for some Russians last night:

I take technical issue with “victims”…

That is some terrible OpSec. Also, let’s mass hundreds of guys for a party within HIMARS range. Genius.

Santa knows if you’ve been naughty or nice.

For the first time Ukraine is starting to produce its own Soviet caliber artillery shells:

I feel sorry for the people in the factory who have to color the entire surface of each shell with a highlighter.

I was wondering why would Ukraine would want to make soviet-quality equipment given all the news about poor performance.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with soviet artillery, if properly maintained.

It’s not the same as modern precision weaponry, but it still works.

And on some level, against a conventional military like Russia’s, old school artillery can do some work.

Quite the speech. English subtitles.

Further proof English isn’t a language, it’s three languages in a trench coat.

Holy fuck, that may be the most inspirational speech I’ve ever watched.

My greatest fear when the war started was that Ukraine like Syria and some many other war zones would soon be forgotten. I couldn’t have imagined that this small man, would stand so tall. A fighting spirit we haven’t seen since Churchill, combined with amazingly talented staff which gives Spielberg competition in story-telling and filmmaking.
