Ukraine also makes most of the world’s matzah/matzo!

Thanks for this post, @strategy very informative. From what I’ve seen the US military recruits people surprisingly selectively, not based on income but on clean records, motivated young people with decent grades etc.

?!

No sacrifice in their defense is too great.

Apparently, the Russian reports were exaggerated. They have penetrated into Soledar, but the UA is still in the city and fighting. The situation is not easy but the fighting continues.

Not surprising, but good news!

But is the matzoh safe???

If true, that would seem to be a point where the war gets brought home for a lot of people. Assuming it includes places like Moscow and St. Petersburg. Guess we’ll find out if the intelligence is accurate soon enough.

SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!

Yep, we’ll see if it actually happens this time. Seems like it’s been near happening for months but Putin continues to avoid pulling the trigger on it.

Well, I don’t think Russia wants to loose, so they will keep conscripting, but I think this time, something will break before they get all the way, but if not, I will continue to worry for Ukraine and continue to hope the west will supply them with just about anything.

Ukraine needs to destroy large portions of the Russian army with maneuver. If Ukraine digs in, the Russians will simply shell them for months. Ukraine is going to have to have some good generalship over the next few months, and hopefully combined with some increased maneuver capacity to create opportunities.

He mirrors what I think, worth a look.

Are you sure? He says he’s skeptical on Russia’s bluster and its ability to amass any major offensives

I have said they will recruit towards a million men, I didn’t say they would be able to use them well or for anything. I stand by that still, Russian army is most likely much larger already than it was at the beginning of the war.

Are you actually saying that you believe that “Russia won’t be able to use the conscripts well or for anything” or just noting that you didn’t state that?

by like… 2025?

And that’s why I’m highly optimistic about the coming quarter. They have shown great generalship in the past and have a definite edge in the information space, ie faster OODA loops in their artillery kill chains as well as the huge edge that those EC-135’s circling the battlespace give. Combine that with a modern cavalry tearing all over the steppe with superb C2… oh the vatniks are gonna get it. BOHICA Putin }-]

OODA loop: Observe, Orient, Decide, Act. The process of seeing a thing, deciding it is a thing and making things happen according to the nature of the thing. We see private conscriptovich giving his captain head in the trench. We see it’s within range of our drone, and we don’t need it elsewhere. We decide that dropping our bomb on them is going to make for hilarious memes. We push the button. And another immortal meme enters the interwebs gaining the Ukraine another win in the information battle.
If your OODA is faster than the enemies’, you can run circles around them. Shit will be happening to them faster than they can react to it in a coherent, rational fashion.

BOHICA: Bend Over, Here It Comes Again. No need to explain this one, eh?

Guys, I know Janster’s attempted invasion of this thread has been a humiliating disaster so far, but I have it on good authority that come the spring he’ll have one million reputable sources for his claims.
