No. Being paid more money than you can realistically see on any legal job is what works here. Also new possibilities in war.

There were a lot of social ads for conscripts posted here. None are actually about anything moral. They all say “Your life is shit? Enlist and everything will be cool”.

All this talk about morals is for a relatively small part of population. The thing is, all the other social movements are alienated. Remember, back in 2008 Russian government tried to appease intelligentsia with the most hip blogger president. But then intelligentsia turned out to be a bunch of ungrateful jerks and now there are only Dugin-style conservatives and those who do not care about anything at all.

I think the point is that these dictators are just not that interesting, not that they are stupid. They are depressingly unremarkable, which is probably the really scary part of all of this. It isn’t the mustache-twirling, maniacally cackling archvillain you have to worry about. It’s the dude who to all appearances could be a local banker or mid-level bureaucrat that will open the death camps and ramp up the secret police persecutions.

I think the actual thought of God’s gender would come down to some rationale like this:
God made Adam in his image, who was male, and thus God is male. Eve was just made as an afterthought, because God saw that Adam was sad.

Given Biden’s things for train rides, I guess it is an ok way for him to arrive.

I think a better way would have been to send AWACs, a couple of Growler electronic warfare planes and squadron of F-35 with tanker support, and arrived in normal US Presidential style.

Yup that’s pretty much what the article says. I don’t think we saved any money, by having him come by train since it sounds like all planes were up in the air on the Polish/Ukraine border flying holding patterns.

There is still clearly a NATO contingency that continues to try avoid pissing off/humiliating Putin.

I’m well pass this point and very much in the fuck camp Putin, give Ukraine what the need to end the war sooner rather than later.

What I’d like to understand, is who in NATO is in the don’t piss of Putin camp and where is Biden?
If the reason that Biden is being cautious is to keep NATO unified that’s a valid reason IMO.
