Things are apparently very different when besieged cities are ‘civilized’ and not in Iraq or Afghanistan.

This journo is going to have some things happen to him, I think.

That’s a hell of a good idea, promise asylum in the west for any surrendering Russia soldier. Maybe even give a bounty for equipment. $100K for BMP would be a bargain, and would be cheap way of the Ukrainians to rebuild their army.

Applause!

If German general memoirs are good evidence then later they’ll probably explain that direct orders from Putin have sabotaged the campaign. Also weather.

Yeah, I posted that up thread earlier. Great psychological warfare.

At least 700 more of these missiles to be in theater soon.

Helos fly lower.

It makes sense that Russia is banning Twitter. Most of the images of destroyed vehicles out there are Russian ones (because it’s easier for the Ukranians to take and post the pictures). The PR is horrible.

You have videos of captured soldiers (including at least a Tank Battalion commander), downed vehicles, Ukranians in high spirits…

I can’t make out what these guys are saying but they look like they are enjoying their new toys.

What is that shoulder-launched missile system? Is it also wire-guided? It reminds me of my last year in the infantry, when I led a Dragon anti-tank missile squad in 25th ID in Hawaii.

I believe they’re saying “Such a truck would be good for picking up girls in Minsk.”

Perfect.

Best guess is it’s a British/Swedish NLAW. Ukraine just received a shipment of them from the UK. A day or two ago there were photos floating around of them in Ukraine, but still in shipping crates.

Ah, thanks. Shorter range than the Dragon, but fire-and-forget and get the fuck out of dodge. This grunt approves of that option!

From a random twitter account so not verified in any way, but what appears to be residents peacefully standing up to the invading military.

With all the reports of logistics/fuel issues plaguing the Russians I’d be looking for every possible opportunity to hit their supply lines.

Allegedly that is happening

Thread also has claims of a victory in the south where conscripts fled and many including a platoon commander were captured.

Take with appropriate seasoning.

(nah, seems too soon to post. Could be fake)

I know Ukraine already has Turkish drones, how hard would it be to train them on other drone types? I haven’t seen the possibility discussed at all but it seems like it would be a huge boost.

The issue is how can the Russians differentiate between a US controlled predator drone and a Ukrainian controlled predator drone?
