That’s a hell of a good idea, promise asylum in the west for any surrendering Russia soldier. Maybe even give a bounty for equipment. $100K for BMP would be a bargain, and would be cheap way of the Ukrainians to rebuild their army.

It makes sense that Russia is banning Twitter. Most of the images of destroyed vehicles out there are Russian ones (because it’s easier for the Ukranians to take and post the pictures). The PR is horrible.
You have videos of captured soldiers (including at least a Tank Battalion commander), downed vehicles, Ukranians in high spirits…

What is that shoulder-launched missile system? Is it also wire-guided? It reminds me of my last year in the infantry, when I led a Dragon anti-tank missile squad in 25th ID in Hawaii.
I believe they’re saying “Such a truck would be good for picking up girls in Minsk.”

Best guess is it’s a British/Swedish NLAW. Ukraine just received a shipment of them from the UK. A day or two ago there were photos floating around of them in Ukraine, but still in shipping crates.

I know Ukraine already has Turkish drones, how hard would it be to train them on other drone types? I haven’t seen the possibility discussed at all but it seems like it would be a huge boost.
