This is BS.
Yes, Putin can absolutely still achieve his military objectives and win the war - militarily, they remain superior and can win simply by feeding enough men into the meatgrinder.
But the sanctions are not going away any time soon (some of them, perhaps, but a lot won’t) and the cost of the conflict is going to be horrendous for Russia. Even if Ukraine was to capitulate next week, the cost of the conflict is already past the point where it was worth it.

The BBC feed says BP is pulling up its stake in Rosneft.
BP is to exit its shareholding in Russian oil giant Rosneft, the company has announced.
The firm has been under pressure over its nearly 20% holding - on Friday UK business secretary Kwasi Kwarteng is said to have told the oil company’s boss Bernard Looney about his “concern” over the involvement.
