The longer that ‘convoy’ sits there, the closer we are to finding out. It’s basically a depot, only the depot is burning the fuel supply and eating the food stores and tying up all the transportation capacity.
If I’m a part of the Russian general command staff, I’m staying away from windows and avoiding tea for the foreseeable future.
I was going to fire up Hearts of Iron IV, but now I think Shadow Empire is a better simulation of the situation.
Again, to @Timex’s point, if we 80’s/90’s era military intel analysts had seen the Soviets perform like this at any point during their exercises, we’d all have had a collective fit. Having a supply convoy just sit and burn resources is nutty as hell.
Fair point. It seems he made the logistics in that game realistically hard to understand and not mess up!
Belarusians have already created volunteer forces in Ukraine helping Ukrainians. Glad it happened before Belarusian troops were officially directed across Ukrainian border.
Meanwhile, the mother campaign is going on in full swing. I wonder how many of those videos are being seen inside Russia.

Relax. This happens regularly in Scandinavia.
In Denmark we have a political summer convention every year on Bornholm to celebrate democracy and talk shit. It gets attended by nearly all of our politicians, usually including ministers and the prime minister.
In 2014 the Russians ran a simulated attack on Bornholm while the convention was going on.
They’ve also run simulated attacks on our navy ships.
This is standard.
