Literally had this is a game today. Couldn’t run supplies from a new logistics hub as I couldn’t get any fuel there to fuel up the trucks…
This is more of the same, from CNN reporter.
While hopecasting about the state of that convoy, it’s also nice to daydream about the amount screaming into radios and phones that is happening up and down the entire Army hierarchy. Does that convoy have an overall CO? I bet he’s having fun!
This is made better by the fact that, per those reports yesterday, we can listen to the radio shouting.
The way things have been going for the Russians you could probably convince me that they did, in fact, get lost on a mission to Ukraine.
Indeed. The RAF also regularly intercepts Russian aircrafts encroaching on airspace. This is not really news at any time. Even if these are tense times.
Another Russian plane shot down. Meanwhile they are shelling the railway station in Kyiv, where women and children and sheltering. Corrupted by evil.
Exactly. It would be more concerning if they stopped buzzing us altogether.
Several reports that the Ukrainians have retaken Makariv after losing it yesterday.
This is pretty big, since that’s Russia’s main drive for Western encirclement of Kyiv. Seems they can’t reinforce with enough numbers (yet) as to solidify the spearhead.
Anyway, this gains time, even if it’s little.

I saw this reported by a few western reporters last night, but when I went back to find them to reply to Mark’s post, I couldn’t find them again. I did find it on The Sun which also has a video, but my impression is that The Sun is note necessarily considered a good news source.

There’s also this bad-ass protester:
Video also tweeted by Economist reporter but he didn’t provide the Leningrad context.
This would be good.
This not so much, but has seemed inevitable the last 24 hrs.
Tweeter is NYT correspondent.
The US is not so sure
But even if it’s not yet fully taken it’s probably only a matter of a few hours more.
Well, I guess we’ll see what happens now that Russia controls a city. Will there be insurgent attacks?
Substantial change, maybe not, but I think we’d all be happy with ending this war at least.
Russian intellectual elites sound a lot like the neoconservatives, who control both parties in the US, but we haven’t started any unjust wars lately. So there’s hope that new leadership will help!
Mariupol is getting absolutely pasted right now. An ominous sign of things to come I suspect
Helluva way to win hearts and minds, Russia.
This seems like an instance where “control” is going to have a very fuzzy meaning.
