More on the South Korea story:
I googled those planes and one of those automated “People Also Ask:” was “Does Su-34 have a toilet?”
Here is the answer and perhaps explanation to how it got shot down: "Russia’s Su-34 Fullback fighter/bomber jet is in many ways a reworking of the older Su-27 model, but it includes some shockingly homey features, like a “toilet” and a “kitchenette.”
Want this to be true, obvs. Apparently a sketch based on the facebook posts of UA General Staff.
That encirclement of the encircling column kind of matches with some of the earlier statement up-thread about what was going on west of Kyiv, though. At least that’s what my memory is saying. :)
And whoever the local commander is in control of the area around Sumi, he should probably rename himself Sun Tzu.
They would get everything they want from Russia for the cheapest price possible already. Occupying it will probably cost more.
Not everybody is falling in line in the palace, it seems:
That or the cousins are very good at listening and then distributing unnerving stories.

Anti-war elements in the FSB that are willing to leak information to Zelenskys security team? That’s amazing!
I don’t believe it. If it was true we would not burn such an FSB source. Not for something this trivial

Lying about it would probably get rid of a bunch of FSB guys, so, win-win really.
Actually, I might be revising my fruitcake estimate regarding evil Vlad (although I suppose very domestically focused message):
Seems like the Russians now have control of the power plant, the operating crew is still there doing their job, and there isn’t any damage to the plant?
I guess they mean to cut power to the population.
I’m not sure there are a lot of people with classical educations left in the Republican Party. Do you have any analogies relevant to episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger by any chance?
I was thinking, lots of people are worried about what China might do in the event of Russia going into an escalating war with the west.
I don’t think China would take Taiwan in that situation. I think it’s actually much more likely they would take over eastern Russia.
They get to be on the winning side of the war, and also get to steal a ton of natural resources from Russia along the way.
And I don’t think in that situation, anyone is going to stop them.
There’s no doubt that China would love those resources. However, Russia still has nukes (as many of the posts in this thread have mentioned). I don’t think they’d readily part with the eastern section of their country, which holds so many resources essential for their nation’s survival and development, at anything but an incredibly steep (and likely catastrophic) cost.

Heh heh. Nice one.
So it looks like Russian is soon going to control the entire coastline. They might cut off Odessa from the rear and not take it, or take it later from the land.
After that they will control every border but the west/southwest.

Not too dissimilar from what we see in the US with indoctrination by extremist media, actually – think of the number of families torn apart over Covid, or everyone’s crazy uncle who just spews nonsense from Fox, OANN, RT, etc.
Sad, but not surprising.
