This is truth though! Evil tea haters :P.
Given that the internet is, simplistically speaking, “just” a bunch of websites linked together, I have been wondering why countries haven’t built their own networks, especially countries/regimes that want to limit/control the flow of information. Not as easy as it sounds no doubt, requires expertise and willingness to reinvent the wheel, whereas the existing system works pretty well.
In the meantime the German govt is as pigheadedly obdurate as ever. Unwilling to cut off Putin’s access to money because it would hurt the prosperity of German citizens. Hence funding the war in Ukraine. Beggars belief.
That feels very much like a tough chore to put that amount of toothpaste back into the tube. Hey, maybe it’ll work for them. But Russian dudes in the network/computer space have had the full spectrum of internet availability open to them from the get-go. This feels like a kind of “internet finds a way” to try to close off completely.

Awesome. I figured most of the ones online were just memes by people that didn’t speak Russian because almost all of them have на хуй as one word.
Seems Eastern European countries decided not to sell planes to Ukraine.
I wonder if it means Europeans are losing interest in the conflicts.
There’s a good chance that it’s other EE countries going “we need them, Russia might invade us next”, but who knows…
Actually, there’s no consensus whether you should write нахуй or на хуй. In fact, it’s even more likely to see Russians write нахуй because in some cases it’s used as a interjection and in that case, one word makes more sense.

Cool. It isn’t often that you see it in writing, so I’d never seen it that way prior to the memes.

Thanks for the link, interesting read.
A couple of unconfirmed but likely (at least in part) stuff given the information at hand:
Daaaaaaaamn… That’s a lot of birds.
Does the S in Sila sound like a Z? Otherwise I’m not seeing the Z there. “The strength is in the truth” sounds like a fascist admiration of, well, strength.
To any Ukrainian propagandists that might be reading this, may I suggest noting that the Zzz were from when you caught them napping? Not to mention Zeez nuts.
That’s the V, not the Z. And, no, it’s сила, not зила.
Given the earlier reports of a large number of Russian aircraft taking off last night in Belarus, I’ve been looking for any sort of after action information on where they went, what they did, what happened to them. Has anyone seen anything like that?
I would disagree with this assessment. Most of the opposition to Putin comes from young people, the ones who didn’t have to go through the mess that was 199x.
Moldova has the highest rate of refugees per capita. It won’t be able to accommodate people without financial help from the West. Even if Transnistria is not going to push for independence now, Moldova has it hands full.
Pope Francis is sending two cardinals on humanitarian missions to Ukraine. They will start at the Polish and Hungarian borders with Ukraine, but their goal is to enter Ukraine, support refugees there, and presumably bring some visibility to the situation of Ukrainian civilians and the need for safe corridors for refugees to move through.
At the same time he announced the missions, Pope Francis effectively called out President Putin, saying “It is not merely a ‘military operation’, but a war, which now sows death, destruction, and misery.”
Sanction are going to hurt the West in perhaps unanticipated ways:
I knew Russia was going to be shut out of the microprocessor market, but what are we going to do now? This stuff just can’t be replaced over night.
They will kill Russia but it won’t be a cakewalk for us either. This is why I think a lot of these sanctions are being done on an ad hoc basis, without thinking through all the implications.
What do you disagree with? For young people Putin is the guy who was there forever, there was no time for them when Putin was a breath of fresh air after the zombie Yeltsin. For the people in their 40’s and older Putin is the guy who made Russia great.
