Yeah, I was going through Alice and Kev again last night. You know Rob I really think that when people look back that will be held up as one of the roots of the “player as artist” movement that I believe will be a strong influence on the medium as we go forward.

The whole thing still feels so strange to me. I still have difficulty talking about it, because it doesn’t feel any different to any other time I’ve nattered on a forum about playing a game.

I think everyone who made Sims 3 deserves most of the credit for Alice and Kev.

Well, that “oxygen pipe” was in sims2, and there is something similar in sims3, so I guess that angle was already covered lol.

Yeah, but did it give a small chance for the cops to come to your house while having an oxygen pipe party, and then get arrested for possession of oxygen and oxygen paraphernalia?

Saw the trailer for Life in the Fast lane stuff pack. It appears to be a bunch of new cars. Wonder if any of them will allow for woohooing or can increase the odds of woohooing?

Don’t think so … I’ve seen some general disappointment in that one - mostly just stuff (well, yeah), and not that much of it, apparently.

In contrast, the latest info about Night Life (Hot Nights? Date Life?) makes it sound damned appealing, some considerable changes to the world as well as content.

Has that been posted yet?

And, hey, a breast slider. How about that?

As well as an improved muscle slider. Just the one. Would be nice to see more body morph options, but these will be welcome.

Catching up on this thread prompted me to re-install The Sims 3 (I bought it when it came out last year and like most games promptly never played it) and I’ll be darned if I didn’t get sucked in.

My first Sim is a young dude named Ferris Wheele. Yes, I like giving characters terrible names. Apparently so do the folks at Maxis/EA because the bookstore in Sunset Valley has several volumes penned by one Ferris Wheeler.

Ferris is a bit of a Mary Sue (artistic, computer whiz) and so far has been not just very happy but often elated, especially when playing computer games. He still cannot make waffles without burning them, though. Why does he keep putting them in the oven? Stupid Ferris. He also had to call a plumber when his sink went kablooey and his limited skills resulted in a flooded kitchen.

He seems to get dressed only when absolutely required.

Charcoal waffles, anyone?

Rod, if youre watching this thread I wanted you to know that those of us on Win7-64x with more than 2 Gig of RAM are having the same crashes after every patch and new update that I wrote about before (with the DLC copy of Ambitions and any other conetent). We have to go back and edit the .exe to allow <2 Gig mem use each every single time we do any major additions to the game.

Lol, sims don’t even have nipples - they are fairly basic. I am sure one slider can cope with the one simple blob shape that is a sim’s breast. Anyway, if you’re using custom breasts, you can expect there to be custom breast sliders to match :D
