Ah well, if we’re all throwing stuff at Rod to include in the game - WHERE’S THE WEATHER?!?!?! lol.

/me hugs Rod

Good heavens, Inge - you must have had some rip-roaring parties. I never ever had the police turn up to one of my Sims 1 parties - I didn’t even know that they might. All I got was wretched old Drew Carey, who always managed to pitch up and steal the limelight just when my sim was about to cut the birthday cake, or carve the turkey, or do something else important.

Hey, I’ll take as many body morphs as I can get, actually. There’s much character to be expressed in the body.

I’d really like to see a beer gut, for instance, maybe a defined hunch. There are mods that supply that presently, but they wonk-out pretty quickly.

As for breasts, you lift and separate 'em and you’ve got a 40s sweater girl. Press 'em together and you’ve got evening decolletage. Stuff 'em under your armpits and you’ve got grandma’s nightie. That’s one of the challenges, though - one global morph might not suffice between sleepwear and athletic.

OMG WEATHER, weather, weather!!! Oh I so badly want weather it’s not even funny. Make it like a seasons thing, but more weathery things happening. Oh would take out a smal loan for this thing if I had to. Is it in the works or a pipe-dream?

From some hints dropped at one of the Late Night fan previews, it seems there may well be a weather-related EP coming along some time.

They keep having sales like the last and I’ll buy the whole damned set.

Just to reiterate what Jeff was talking about, I had the exact same issue, and his mod to the executable worked like a champ. I don’t know the lasting effect of having this on for all OS’s with mixed memory sizes, but for Win 7 64-bit over 2GB memory, this brought crashing to a halt.

jpinard for Twinbrook President!

I was going to play this for an hour before bed the other night, played for four hours instead (till 2 a.m.). Apart from stove fires, exploding toilets and cold showers, things seem to be going well for my Sim.

I noticed I have 1,000 EA points or whatever they’re called. Any recommendations on what I might spend them on in the store?

I really liked the Hogans Diner set and the Bauhaus Build set. I think they come to about that amount (going by memory only)

I can’t wait to befriend a celebrity then start a fight with them in the middle of a club. Evil sim time!

What happened to page 55? It shows on the page number bar, but if I click on it I just go back to page 54

Yes… strange.

Ah! You made it work - well done :D

Rod, if you are still reading this thread, I’d like to ask if you could consider bringing back the subhood system as an optional play feature? I’d love to be able to attach the new city as somewhere for my existing sims to visit, rather than having to start all over with new families. I know I can place one existing household in the new world, but then it breaks up all the developing relationships with the other sims they used to know and it still spoils the continuum of the story.

Obviously there would be loading time between hoods, but that would be up to the player if they wanted to play with subhoods or not. I wouldn’t advocate having it exactly like TS2, where if you wanted the lots to act like Downtown lots they had to be in a Downtown-classified subhood. I just want the possibility to play neighborhoods with a completely different look all in the context of the same continuing game.

Medieval QA:

RB: As your kingdom renown grows, you have access to more distant lands. As your relationship with those lands improves, more trade goods will arrive in the cargo hold of the ship. These foreign goods are rare and in limited quantities. The merchant buys those items from the ship and then sells them at a profit to the rest of the sims in the kingdom. The merchant can also act as a broker between different foreign territories.

The merchant also sells items that are crafted within the kingdom and sold to the merchant by the other professional sims. The merchant can haggle with customers, which can help him buy at a discount and sell at a profit.

Well, alright.

Here’s hoping there’s some actual economics involved and not just ‘skill improves, 10% profit bonus’.

Me too - especially in the case of Barnacle Bay. I can’t see myself playing there for any length of time, but I would love to have it as a destination for my existing families to visit for a while. I don’t mind the loading screen delay - we have that with the Adventure destinations anyway.

Wow - talk about a conversation stopper! I posted and everyone went silent. Whatver I said or did, please come back! It can’t have been that bad …

You… didn’t really say anything worth discussing.

FWIW I thought it was an interesting topic and agreed with the sentiment, just couldn’t think of anything to say about it.
