Hall of Death is the worst map in TF2. It’s the analogue to SOF2’s Barn.
I’ve been getting ready for this update by playin scout a lot… l4d must have improved my aim significantly because now I can actually do something with the scout. Before I was like a fish out of water… now I’m killing 2 or 3 people before I die, and I’m gettin’ real good at jumping over people and shooting the medic right in the stupid face.
the new bat looks cool, I don’t know if I’ll use it though with such a heavy cost (no double jumping). It remains to be seen. The Backburner is a cool weapon but I never, ever use it because losing the air compression blast is too much to ask.
That’s what makes it so much fun.

I’m curious: are a lot of people still playing the new Arena mode? It didn’t do much for me when it was released and I’ve barely played it since.
I play it exclusively. I’ve tried going back to the other modes and just can’t.
I play a lot of arena, mostly when I’m waiting in queue for another server.
If you’re curious about a server, I basically only play on the Doorman arena server, usually has a good number of people.
New item: Bonk! Energy Drink.
Runnin’ rings around all them molasses-slow dummies out there on the battle- field is thirsty frickin’ work. But when it comes to quenchin’ that thirst, only one thermonuclear thirst detonator packs all the “Atomic Punch” you’ll ever need. Bonk! is fulla radiation, which as we all know is pretty great for givin’ people superpowers. Just one can’ll blast ya into a few-second rush of radioactive energy so powerful you’ll be dodgin’ bullets like they ain’t even there!

Honestly though if you don’t care about the achievements (which I don’t) and do care about the unlocks (which I do) just go on an achievement farming server and you’ll get them in no time. I probably will, depending.
I really don’t get the anger shown towards people who do… for those that don’t care about achievements and possibly don’t play all that often, getting the unlocks the normal way can be prohibitively time-consuming and/or out of reach if they’re especially hard. And it’s not like farming them affects anyone else. (If you care about your stats though I wouldn’t recommend it!)

I have how many dozens of hours in TF2, honestly it’s probably not healthy, and i only have three unlocks out of all of the ones available.
Literally the only way i’ll get them all is to grind them. And i don’t have a clan/group to grind them with.
I had to convince an enemy spy to flick a cigarette to get one of the Pyro achievements. That one is just dumb luck oppose to the 50 kill farming stuff.

Arguably those doing it legitimately have a far greater and not always positive effect - grinding for particular achievements can result in players doing stupid stuff over and over.
It impacts all the non-cheaters that don’t have the unlockable weapons yet.

The only achievements I don’t like are the ones built around very, very specific goals such as the spy one for the pyro mentioned above. Hopefully they can release more maps with water in them so I can finally cross out those pyro and heavy achievements on my list.
