I hope the reduced demo ammo means less spamming on dustbowl. As much as I love that map, I really really hate it when you have to coordinate 3+ ubers just to leave the gate. On the other hand, I’m going to feel pretty naked with so little ammo.

Has anyone heard more on the non-ubering medic rumor?

Tonight I had the funnest time building a turret peeking out from the sniper’s perch on 2 fort and reparing it constantly with a buddy mechanic. The sniper on the other side tried for a minute or so of constant shooting to take it down but to no avail, even with the occasional rocket blast from below. Eventually he let well enough alone ( as he was probably distracted from the important business of our sniper ) and it took a suicidal spy and a soldier to take us out. Not really effective but sort of hilarious all the same.

Snipers do some damage against turrets but it’s not like against flesh, right? I could have sworn I’ve taken out like level one’s before at max charge but usually I wind up failing to do anything.

A sniper can easily blow up a turret in one or two shots. It’s just that an engie can repair it faster than the sniper can fire.

That’s why you shoot the engie first! Unless you can’t get a good angle on them. Usually you can land a arm or foot shot though, which can send them running.

Well that’s surprising. They’re indeed down. I sent a PM to chet, and a Steam PM to Severian (our host), but I’m wondering if we should come up with a plan B? After all, it is going to be 36 painful years until Leap Fortress returns to a Friday night.

Any thoughts?

I’ve got a dedicated server that could handle it and then some, I’ll see how long it’ll take me to install and configure.
