and go until scharmers packs it in
Week 1: XP installation utterly shits all over itself
Week 2: Wireless router does one of its usual “I CANNA COPE” moments about 1/2 hour into match. BTW, circlejerk is a retarded map. Hall of Death >> more retarded.
Week 3: I’ll probably stay at work and play from there :)
I found this rather amusing.

Good lord, Rob - how did you pull that off? I think you hit Achievement Unlocked territory there.
Scharmers: I really didn’t like circlejerk when I first started playing it, but it has grown on me. It is one of those maps that fundamentally changes how you have to play, and when it clicked I started to have fun. I usually go engineer and try to defend the first point my team takes - the other side inevitably kills me and any turrets I’ve put up, but that seemed to slow them down long enough for Team Offense to take all the points.
I’ve come around on Circle Jerk. Hall of Death though? Could really do without that.
I’m starting to like Hall of Death more. After the allspeak session where I dominated over half the team as an engineer, I really started to like it. One of my favorite things to do on HoD is wait until the defense is completely spent trying to defend against an uber or two, then run in and grab the intel. I pulled that off twice in one round this past weekend.
Is warpath on the rotation? I had a lot of fun playing that on the FNF server.

I much prefer hall of death to circlejerk. Obviously because of my chosen class Sniper destroys in HoD, but doesnt really have a place in circlejerk.
I have fun picking off people on the top of Pagoda, but then some scout ends up finding me pretty quickly.
I may show up later than usual tonight. My involvement in the vampire game requires it :P.
I’ll try to pop in tonight.
Hall of Death is a hoot as a demoman. Sometimes as a pyro.
Circlejerk’s fine with me too. Can be fun.
Haha, oops.
I hate to be down on a free server, but I really can’t handle the POE guys for prolonged periods. The one guy (Syd) literally screaming into his mic the same “clan match” jokes all night, I dunno, it wears on ya after a while. Not all of them of course, but there’s always a handful talking constantly who just aren’t nearly as funny as they think they are.
I just shoot them in the face if they annoy me.
I was pretty crap last night. Too much Frontlines lately had me thinking about going prone all the time and lurking around corners. That’s not how you best play TF2.
Here’s an interview with Robin Walker about the new Medic unlockables and Goldrush.
Overhealer out, 10 seconds of 100% crit chance in. Yowza, that’ll be painful.
I’m starting to think time spent playing hall of death would be better spent taking a mental health break to go beat my head against the wall.
I am genuinely psyched for next month’s update.
I wonder if you’re going to be able to be “ubered” by 2 medics at the same time(one with the crits, other with invulnerability)?
So, can you do both? An invulnerable, all crit heavy or pyro is a pretty scary thought.
EDIT: crosspost with andre, I’d guess Valve has considered this.
I was until I realized Valve is going to make players grind achievements to access the new content.
That doesn’t bother me in itself, but it becomes a problem when the new achievements aren’t going to all be for things beneficial to your team.
They’ve been really good about that until now, but the update’s going to add stuff like, one for killing four guys while having an undeployed uber. That’s going to be kind of a pain in the ass for the rest of your team, dying while you waste uber after uber trying to get a slightly obtuse achievement.
And this just as, for the first time, there’s a practical reward for getting achievements.
I read that Valve decided not to tie the unlocks to the achievements after all. I don’t remember where, though, so I could be wrong.
Did you read it more recently than March 25 when they said “you unlock the first Medic unlockable when you complete 12 of the 36 Medic achievements, the second at 24, and the third at 36?”
