The server list is showing a ping of 50ish to your server. Whereas the POE server I get 130ish.

I guess that makes sense, Colorado would be a worse ping for east coasters (I get around 75) and better for people on the west coast.

Dammit, I want to play tonight but I’m having trouble connecting to Steam. I can’t remember my username or password from the old machine and Steam’s not sending me the confirmation emails it says it is.

Tried the CD key too, same deal. If only I remembered the account name, I could guess the password…

True, that probably will be the case. I also felt bad when someone was healing me, had an ubercharge, and I killed six people without him/her having to use it.

Seemed to work out pretty well, filled up mostly with random people. Didn’t notice any server lag and the server itself didn’t have any CPU issues.

If people want to use it next week, I’ll get that SourceMod voting thingy in there to change maps. Maybe a custom map or two? (not novelty ones).

Although we might have gold rush next week, right?

I got a great ping from your server and noticed no lag at all. Had a great time playing, and will likely be playing more. Not that I’m any good at it yet, but starting to get the hang of things

Thanks for the server, malphigian. No lag for the most part and I didn’t realize how truly wonderful it is not to have 20 people screaming nonstop in all-speak until it was gone.

I think I’ve got my rocket jumping down pat now. The problem I had before was that I wasn’t crouching immediately after the jump. The crouch makes all the difference in the world.

The server worked out really well, I thought. The ping was closer to 85 on Friday night (coming from Boston), and the server filled out nicely with a majority of Qt3 folks. The absence of all talk just makes a better game, I think. I mean, sure it lacks the non-stop party atomosphere, but that’s not really what I’m looking for in the game. The early going was a bit uneven, in that one side was a bit overmatched, but that corrected itself after a while, and there were a few very nice back and forth games.

Shall we keep this server for next week? I hope we can get some map rotation going, and while I wouldn’t be opposed to some non-standard maps (even Circlejerk, which has grown on me). Though not please god, meleebarn. I hope never to see it again.

Ditto. My ping stayed under 100 the whole night (Austin, TX); great matches and communication. I can show up regularly for many Friday nights, so I hope we can keep this server going.
