Parts of it are all right. I like the mouse, and the water on the floor, and the Gandalf picture is pretty good. A lot of the rest is lousy though.
I think the point is that it’s an impressive display of MS Paint skills. Ultimately pointless, yes, but interesting in a “Wow, someone really worked hard on that” way. Kind of like game speed runs or the world’s largest ball of rubber bands.

It’s not impressive as a piece of artwork. It’s mega super hella impressive for artwork done with MS Paint, which is pretty much the point.
um… no. I’m just saying that your critique is making you sound like a complete ass and that you haven’t a clue. While I wouldn’t say it is the best MS Paint drawing I’ve ever seen ( this would be, although the author said some details required PS,) I would say it is amazing considering the context of most MS Paint drawings (like these.)

Which has nothing to do with what I was responding to. I was responding to your implied claim that because Bill hasn’t made a better MS paint drawing, he has no business criticizing this one. (Based on which logic you might also say Pauline Kael could not critique movies, George Bernard Shaw could not critique music, and so on.) It was this tired and all-too-often-trotted-out debating ploy that I was offended by, and that I responded to.

**okay, it’s possible that you really just meant “Bill’s critique is invalid because he does not make MS paint images” without specifying the quality of his work relative to the image being discussed. It still amounts to the same silly debating trick, though, as it would require all movie critics to make some movies before their opinions can be listened to, game critics to make some games, etc. Sorry I didn’t catch this subtlety when I first wrote this post, but, being a complete ass who hasn’t a clue, sometimes I miss these things.
For the record, there are two Bills in this thread, me and some other guy. I just want to know why it’s called “It Will Make You Cry” or whatever. I think it looks pretty groovy, especially since it’s done by cheeseball MSPaint.

There’s no bullshit meme here. No debating tactics. No demand for personal experience. I’m simply calling out those who have leveled harsh criticisms that “it sucks” and that it’s “lousy”. Neither you or the other guy Bill have given any reasoning.

But not to stray from the topic, now that I’ve posted more examples of MS Paint art, are you still sticking to your initial criticism? Do you want to explain why you think parts of it are all right, but the rest is lousy?
