All it is really is taking some AF missions and handing it to another branch.
For example, for my AFSC, our space force equivalent deals just with the space weather.

I just think they should go for consistency. If they’re gonna have a space force and an air force, then land force and water force is clearly the way the forces should be labeled. Cyber Force and either coastal force/shallow water force come next, of course…
And acknowledge the fact that large parts of the police are millitarized to the point that they are street force.
Its at that point that “may the Force be with you, always” becomes something almost threatening to say…

These ethno-nationalist conspiracy theories have easily understood origins, in terms of why people might be scared of the nation’s changing demographics. What is much harder to unpack is what they think Biden’s (or whomever they are targeting at the time) motive might be. I mean, Biden is a white, Catholic Christian, of European ancestry. It sort of makes you scratch your head to see some reason why he’d be at the head of a de-whiteification campaign!

I should be joking, but I’m not. This is the world many of our fellow citizens live in.
It is a very, very stupid world. But then, many Americans are very, very stupid.
But some of Biden’s best friends are white.
Oh, I get it in an intellectual sense, I guess. I was just venting about the as you point out stupidity of it all.
But behind the stupid lurks something else, much more frightening. There are a substantial number of Americans who really, truly, deeply feel this country is only for white, Protestant, heterosexual people just like them (even though many of them may qualify for those categories only in the most tentative ways).

Used to be stupid people got their opinions from a guy in a pulpit. Made them live in fear of a God who’d judge them on (if he did his job right) good christian/muslim/hindu values of hard work, tolerance and obedience. Makes for a quiet society where the stupid are kept stupid and productive.
That system is breaking down in the west. Replacing it with right wing media does yield some interesting results. Growing up on a very manicheist worldview of Good vs Evil (starwars, marvel, etc) makes it easy to propagandize a you’re either with us or against us programme.
Its sad and scary and I don’t see an easy way out.
