I don’t understand the logic. Seems to me this is the perfect time, what with a captive audience desperate to watch almost anything to get their minds off things.
Do most TV shows finalize full-production on the whole season prior to the first episode airing? My understanding is a lot of TV shows air the first episodes while the later episodes are still in progress (maybe not in filming but in editing and other post-production work). In that case the post-production work may not be done in time.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond premieres Sunday, October 4 at 10/9c on AMC.
It’s gonna be a zombie filled Fall 2020.
