At least those items weigh a hell of a lot less now than they did in W2. Most of my inventory weight comes from all the weapons that I obsessively pick up.

Ya, I think the weight is pretty good… At one point I was carrying around like 15 blunt axes, and wasn’t even approaching my max weight, which was a nice change.
It seems like the weight is actually spread out over you and your horse, as saddle bags can increase the carrying limit?

Yes but you don’t lose the bonus even when you dismount which is great.
I think that’s a discussion worth having, and I think you’re right in doing that. It’s not that I disagree at all - it’s just that I want to provide a different point of view, not to nullify your discussion/analysis, but to enrichen it.

I apreciate that but it seems to be the thing was games and forums these days, people are quick to complain about any and every thing and most of the chat turns to the negative, not much is said about the good so eventually the topic can become a chore to read.
Also you can get one or two vocal people who make it seem that all their issues are evreyone elses issues as well.
So far it’s nice to be reading this thread with very little of that yet.
I think it helps when the comments are made by someone who loves the game, rather than a hater who gave up or someone who has never played it. Fewer axes to grind since everyone is too busy having a good time. It’s funny how all the niggles fade away during a long stretch of play. Venting helps too.
I’m a big fan of the combat but I also liked the combat in the first and second games. I had great fun earlier taking on a large group of human enemies on a beach somewhere in No Man’s Land. There must have been 10 to 15 in total spread out and I think most of them were a higher level than me (I’m level 5 still). I won.
My one complaint is that you should not be able to swap your potions/food selections while in combat. It kinda nullifies the slot limits completely. Of course, being a weak gamer, I’m taking full advantage of it but a part of me hopes it’s a bug they will patch.
Even better, you can repair your sword while in the middle of combat!
There doesn’t appear to be a cooking mechanism in the game, either by an NPC or by Geralt himself.
I, for one, enjoying eating raw wolf liver on the go. It’s a highly portable snack that also builds character.
Isn’t Geralt about a century old or something? I might have to start eating raw wolf liver.
That is correct Nithrakis! :)
I am at work now , all paranoid not remembering if I sold my Witcher sword or not, lol. Damn you guys!
I’ve been breaking down and selling all my old equipment so I think I’m screwed.

Yeah, I think I’m gonna just start over… AGAIN…
But honestly, I’m not too broken up about it. Going through it the second time was pretty damn fast to get back to where I was previously, as you can just skip through the conversations.

Ah, it’s good to know that there is a way to reset your skills too via a potion.
I believe it was said that the potion does not refund skill points you got at the magic stone markers, they are lost. :|
Correct. I don’t know if you can get those back by revisiting the stones.
As far as I know, revisiting the stone just resets the temporary sign boost.

Whoa, WHAT?
That seems like it couldn’t possibly be the case, because I kind of get the impression that MOST of your skillpoints are actually going to come from the places of power.
I can’t see them not refunding those points if you drink the potion, as you’d be basically halving your ultimate effectiveness.
