Igni. It’ll light on fire, fall off a be lootable a short time later.

It actually looks exactly like gambesons, aketons and the like. Admittedly it’s not as cool looking as mail or whatever, but armor-wise the game is actually really spot on with how they actually looked.

Oh and for whoever asked, yes you can use potions out of the inventory.

I failed a side quest after leaving the first area to advance the main quest. That blows, any idea how many quests are like that? One of the things I didn’t like in the first two installments was having to wrap up any sidequests before reaching an act break. I was really looking forward to alternating between plot and sidequests at my own pace.

No clue, what quest was it? You can always reload a previous save. :)

Which one?

Do we know what CDP will be doing now? All out on Cyberpunk?

Hopefully its open world like this is. :D

Witcher 3 expansions. Two of them.

And Cyberpunk. FWIW, they’re adding team members so presumably the success of Wild Hunt will allow them to get heavy into the development of Cyberpunk…or decide not to do it at all. Which I hope isn’t the case.

Not yet. A part of the Witcher 3 team will keep working on support and on the announced DLC and expansions. But I think it’s reasonable to think that a good part of the team will move to Cyberpunk soon, if they’re not already there.

I wouldn’t expect Cyberpunk 2077 news for now, though. Maybe in six months from now, but even then it seems like a stretch.

They’re not backing out of Cyberpunk. I don’t see that happening ever. It will come out at some point because CDPR’s future depends a great deal on it.

I hope you’re right. We probably need to see something that looks like in-game footage–or something like it–within the next year or there will be whispers.

You know I forgot about the expansions, man… if they can get two zones close to the size of Velen, I’d be so happy.

After the “downgrade” controversy, I doubt they’ll be very willing to show early footage of the game, but I could be wrong.

Missing in Action.

Damn, that was a pretty good quest too. :( Then again they are all good.

YES! This deftness in craft applied to character animation (both in facial animation and physical performance) is such a welcome breath of fresh air in the land of videogames. It’s the exact opposite of the overly-physical mo-cap body language we usually get with simian actors lumbering about and way over-PERFORMING every inch of their scene. Why turn your head slightly and give a subtle glance when instead you can drop your shoulders and then crouch a bit and swing your whole upper torso around to look at another character like it’s silent films or vaudeville all over again?! Ugh. Easily my biggest pet peeve in gaming.

Thank goodness we’re making progress with this finally. I’ve barely begun TW3 but the three sidequests I’ve done so far in White Orchard have each had more humanity and realism in the performances than most full games ever manage.

I mean, bless Bioware’s heart. They’re getting a little better. Their voice work is stellar…but the actual screen action still looks rather goofy.

Hey all, has anyone tried using Nvidia’s Shadow Play to provide an FPS counter? I’ve turned it on, have the most recent drivers, all that, and yet the key combo of alt-F12 does nothing.

Where should I be seeing the counter? Upper left I assume? I suppose I could use FRAPS…

I’m most likely being more than a bit hyperbolic here, but Bioware’s character animation in dialog looks like Oblivion when compared to Witcher 3.

If you’re playing on the Xbone, well…
