Is there an eta on the patch?
I came back to White Orchard and there was an interesting change.
sidequests results
his burnt house is replaced by a new one, it seems he got it rebuilt. But if you ask about it, he mentions how fast the Nilfgaardians did it, but now he barely get jobs from the villagers, they prefer to go to a human smith, even if it’s farther away and less good.
The girl who I gave the Swallow potion was taken away by Nilfgaardians. And the owner of the inn is missing, she moved away.
I have really liked this game so far, and now I’m at a crossroads. I just found out what a botching is and now we have to go get it. Could this story be any more disturbing? For me personally this is the most repulsive quest I’ve ever seen. I had to quit and play some Grand Theft Auto V for its peacefulness and lack of botchings. This is definitely not Skyrim 2.
And yet, the scene where the guy in question tells you the whole story is heartbreaking. It’s definitely an old school European midwives tale come to life. It’s a parable with a moral. I have to give the game credit for this, but the subject matter is terrible to behold.
Yeah, it has a very Brothers Grimm vibe to some of the folklore. I personally love that.
Digital Foundry did a side by side of PS4 and comparable PC , video is HERE.

Is it true that towns in the console versions have almost no people wandering about? :O
I have a 770, haven’t noticed any performance problems.
But, I guess if they fix stuff maybe it will get even less noticeable :)
I thought that dungeon was great and loved that whole quest. I did use the torch a lot though.

I just did this quest too, and yeah it was pretty gross.
The thing that is amazing about this game, that puts it so far beyond prior games of this type, is how seemingly every damn quest is like this. They are mostly all expertly voice acted, and actually present you with choices that aren’t just simple good/evil choices. And they lead to significantly different storylines in many cases.
I don’t know how some people say they have money problems, I’m 16 hours in and money is starting to accumulate faster I can spend it.

Do you buy recipes? They can get kind of pricey.
One big help for money i have found is investing in big saddlebags. Then you can just loot everything you find, and even though it’s all super cheap when you sell it, it adds up.
Anyone else think there is a developer on the team that is a sick twisted individual, who likes to put candles on objects that can be looted. Just so you accidentally extinguish the candle? :p
Not only do I loot the object, I usually re-light the candle. That’s 3 freaking times I had to push the use button!
It depends. I buy them, but not all of them. The one that are super expensive I leave them for now (what’s the point in buying them, if the item they make will surely need 10 more levels than I’m currently). I also leave the ones that would give me equipement that is already outdated in comparison with mine.
How do i adjust the gamma on PC? It was avaiable at first but i can’t see the option anywhere now.
Gwent.
Decoys totally counter spies. I was fighting the Blood Baron, which I suppose he was a bit above my “level”, but I had luck and he played two spies at first which I got them back to him with the two decoys I have (the luck part was too because it happened to have the two decoys in hand without having to discard). After that he played a lot of melee units so I kind of stalled with some silly cards, he played the card that doubles the power of a row, that made the difference in total power between armies so big that he just passed the round having still a few cards in hand thinking he would win. Once he had passed he couldn’t play a “clear weather” card, so I used the blizzard card, fucking with melee row, and winning the round using very few cards. Which of course served me to win the second round.
Fuck CD Projekt and these fucking checkpoints. Stupid assclowns.
No need to worry about out-leveling the main quest. It’s all full of bullshit so far. Fuck this game.

Wow, didn’t expect that. I wonder how far ahead of me you are.
Nah just the Bloody Baron quest and those wraiths.
I blame consoles somehow.
