That makes sense, I think it’s the same style that was used in the tutorial sequence.

Yes, Cintran Pendulum is the best haircut. Even from Witcher 2.

Don’t forget about the promised DLC hair! ;)

Got a chance to play a bit more today. So good. Every single quest has been enjoyable.

It doesn’t feel as open as Skyrim, but I don’t mean that as a complaint. The strength of the quests and characters are much more important to me and W3 wins hands down. Not to mention I find the combat much more involving.

Time needs to completely stop when you use the dumb console spin wheel to select abilities.

Also once you get the crossbow, the AI problems in this game become a bit more obvious. For example, clearing out a bandit camp of +4 bandits one at a time by just shooting them with the crossbow as they stand still. I basically need to restrict myself from going crazy with the crossbow.

Underwater controls remind me a lot of assassin’s creed black flag (read: not good), but at least here i haven’t seen any hellishly painful underwater stealth missions.

When the hell do you get the crossbow BTW? Keep in mind I’m still doing quests in White Orchard because I haven’t “graduated” from there yet.

Yeah, it sure is fun spending 20 minutes on a group plinking at them with a crossbow when you could kill them with your sword in 30 seconds.

You will get it with the main story.

I thought the in-game stats for time played were completely bogus. Says something like 4 days. Maybe because Galaxy is still up?

Where do you see the hours in the client?

The hours played is probably the only thing I care about in Steam. If CDP hadn’t asked me so nicely to preorder from GOG at the announcement, I would’ve paid the extra 5 bucks just to track my hours.

I’ve mostly gotten over the idea of out-leveling content. I can always go Fashion Souls and use weaker weapons and armor (that also look cool).

I did cringe during the “Tower of Mice” quest. It’s like 1000 XP for listening to conversations. The payoff was worth it though!

This has been my method- haven’t lost a thing. I’ve left everything by the quick travel sign in White Orchard. It only makes on loot pile if make sure to stand right over it every time you unload.

Pretty sure that counter refers to game time, not real time?

Otherwise known as the ‘Newstead’ (if you’re a child of the 90’s). I found myself partial to the loose and short with the bushy beard, though I’m looking gorward to the ‘Yokelicious.’

My Geralt has so much hair on his beard that the game struggles to stream it in quickly enough during some conversations. Or something like that.

In the Galaxy settings (gear-shaped widget in the bottom-left of the Galaxy window) there is an option to create desktop shortcuts when installing games. I had it disabled when I initially installed the game, but I enabled it and ran the verify/repair function, which appeared to create the shortcut.

Oh duh, the time in the GOG client is right under “My Activity” next to the cheevos progress. 7 hours and 5 minutes. That seems very low. I think I was running the game without the launcher for a while, so call it 12+ hours.

Nope, if you refresh the character stats screen in-game you can see the time played increases in real time, although that doesn’t necessarily preclude any bugs that may cause it to glitch out. In my case, it shows less than 2 days, which is far less than the number of days that have passed in-game.

Does Yen get mad if you shag Triss? Or can you just run around banging everyone?

I’d think there has to be some consequence, I mean before you had amnesia, but now you don’t so… :p

I’m risking it.

Also good God I was supposed to meet her at my last XP level and I still have 10 quests and 50 locations to visit first. Who thought this was going to work?
