Yeah, so there are potentially lots of other opportunities there for characters, although it would be hard to match Geralt who seems much cooler than other witchers you encounter.
Now, did ALL the witcher schools teach at Kaer Morhen, or was that just the Wolf school? Cause I think they got wrecked at some point in some massacre, right? So I’m not sure if maybe there are other witchers in other places, or if the overall witcher population is basicaly wittled down to nothing.
That is mentioned in the graphic novels for sure. If it appears in Season of Storms (which I haven’t read), that would be great.
Kaer Morhen is Wolf School, basically. ;)
Oh, the game refers to that. I didn’t know the newest book metion witcher schools nor that info came from there.

It is now, but I wasn’t sure if it always was… like, if prior to the massacre, it was where all the witchers trained.
On some level maybe it’s moot. There are definitely interesting stories to be had with other witcher schools, as they’re mentioned throughout various quests in the existing games as essentially trying to rebuild some element of their previously held knowledge, with witchers going around to try and hunt down equipment from their school, etc.
Not sure if there’s enough to build a whole game around though.
Man, I hope we get a Witcher game where you can play as Ciri. She’s been pretty awesome so far in W3.
I think she’s not a “real Witcher”, right? Something like she didn’t get the mutations, but still got to have the stylish hair?
Chris Woods
She’s not a real witcher, since she didn’t go through the mutations, but she has been trained in most other things (swordmanship, knowledge of monsters, etc.). She was born with that hair color. And for that matter, Geralt is the only witcher with white hair caused by mutations, since he’s the only one to survive the final batch of mutations (which caused the discoloration of his hair).
Ohh. A little detail I just noticed. Dandelion inherits
Dandelion’s Quest
a whorehouse. I supposed it was property of some far away familiar. But I just read in the quest log description he says he obtained from Whoreson Father. Strange, what the hell an underground boss would give a property to Dandelion.
But then I remembered! In one talk with one of the other bosses it was mentioned that the son is like his father, with one exception: the father loved poetry. In fact Whoreson Junior killed his own father, as he was going to a poetry recital.
It makes sense, the father was a big fan of Dandelion’s work, that’s why he gave him the whorehosue!
I am currently on the Dandelion quest, its turned out quite differently than I expected!
Igni upgraded to level 5, used in town just wrecks people attacking me. :D

Is there some non spoiler explanation of why Ciri looks basically exactly like Geralt, even down to the facial scar?

Destiny? Plus getting the crap beat out of her numerous times most likely.
I’m also curious, just because of the ash-colored hair and whatnot. Perhaps that’s just her natural hair color. Perhaps she dipped into the mutagens as a kid at Kaer Moorhen when she shouldn’t have.

It’s good to meet up with Triss again.

But it seems a lot more specific than that, with how the scar is exactly the same, curving over her left eye.
Was Ciri in the books or did they just make that backstory up for this game?
Ciri is a very important character in the books.
It is probably just because it looks cool.
Or due to the fact that nekkers only have one attack animation :p
But everyone has a facial scar in this universe!
-Geralt
-Ciri
-Zoltan
-Dudu
-Letho
-Caleb Menge
-Lambert
-Eskel
She got the scar when she was riding her horse trying to escape Bonhart and Steffan Skellen, who threw something similar to boomerang at her, hiting her in the face.
She had ashen hair since birth, but at the end of the saga Geralt angrily notices white strand of hair on Ciri, caused by all the stress and trauma.
