Unveiled surprise Witcher 3 expansion

Mutagens are bugged, they stop applying their bonuses after you reload a save. Check your values such as DPS, then remove and re-apply the mutagen…different values.

Any news on this week’s free DLC? I can’t find anything about it.

Just tested this, looks like it’s happening to green and blue mutagens as well. Did you post anything on the official forums?

EDIT - no need, this was identified and is being worked on already (from 5/22).

Hmm, I wonder if I should be worried about a quest bug here.

Triss, treasure, A Matter of Life and Death

I tried both paths in the witch hunter’s area. Both times Triss said she wanted to meet me later, but only when I “held my tongue” in the previous sequence did a side quest pop up. The dialogue was a little glitchy in the part where I said “screw this” early on. She invited me before we burned the place down, and now no side quest.

According to Google, I might get this quest at the end of another one, but I’m not sure I want to keep playing to find out. Anyone go through this?

That would be really, really stupid (no offense). White Orchard is nice as a prologue area, it gives you smaller place to learn the ropes and mechanics, but…

Velen might not be prettiest (it is war torn no man’s land after all), but there is some incredible quest writing there. And you GOTTA see and explore Skellige. And Novigrad. And do all those wonderful quests and stories.
This game is incredibly well written. It is not just good writing “for videogame”, it is good writing, period. Combined with that insanely beautiful world and exploration, it became my favourite game of all time.

I hear you. This might be one of those games, where if I choose to stick with it, it will mean missing out on a whole host of other games if I want to finish a game of this length. Batman, Mad Max, Just Cause 3, Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fallout 4, etc. However, if the quality really is as high as you say, then it’s worth it. It will be interesting to see if it can retain my interest for that long. As much as I loved Skyrim, for example, I began to lose interest after playing it everyday for six months straight. I think I had over 110 hours logged by then, but that’s not as relevant as how many days I’d been playing it.

Nevermind, no quest glitch, just needed to proceed further along the path I was on. I don’t know how many differences there are between quests, but they’re not afraid to let you miss a little content here and there.

I’m giggling like a little girl throughout all this stuff with Triss.

Monday patch changelog

Various quest fixes, font size increase on console, no more interacting with candles near other interactive elements.

Omg, Yen just…

Kaer Morhen

[spoiler] teleported me to above of a faraway lake in a rage fit while we were discussing the little issue of me getting it on with Triss.

Hah. I love her. Well, I lover her as a character, but not as a romance option. Way too crazy in the hot/crazy scale.

<3 Yen <3

Yeah, that’s Yennefer alright ;)

YES! Fixed the stupid candle issue.

the Catfish is the king of the Pontar!

Gotta love the writing in this game.

wow, this game is huge. I’m loving it, but with my available commitment, it’s going to take most of the year to finish.

Still, I’m loving it. It feels like the Witcher I structure, mixed with the production values of the Witcher 2 and thrown into an open world…

Tell me about it, I have no idea how some people have already finished it, some with every achievement as well.

Got all dressed up at Elihal’s in a fancy Nilfgaardian doublet. Walked out the door to a fashion critic.

Had to post it to reddit.

Somewhat finishing Skellige Islands. You know, it’s somewhat funny that the best representation of vikings in a game is done by the not-vikings of the Witcher 3.

You guys are right. At the rate I’m going, I’ll burn out long before I finish 20% of this game. I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to shelve it at some point just to let it refresh itself. That’s not exactly a criticism of the game, though. Some things are just that rich. Experienced the same thing with well-written-but-very-epic novel series, too.

Solved a technical issue that I haven’t seen anyone else complain about. Galloping on a horse requires hitting the Shift key a couple of times, and (for me) it’s easy to overdo it and invoke the Windows Sticky Keys feature, which yanks you out of the game. I’ve never had to turn the Sticky Keys prompt off before now, and in W8.1 it can be done in Control Panel > Ease of Access > Ease of Access Center > Set up Sticky Keys.

I fought in that outfit for a couple hours before realizing I forgot to put my armor back on.

Sorry if old news, but just read on Reddit that the quest log is ordered by quest proximity. Not by my computer to check if true, but that’s news to me (and cool, if true).
