Wait, it is?

That never even occurred to me. Now I must know!

I just realized there are a lot fewer unmarked locations in the north part of the map. Which makes sense, given all the death and destruction in Velen. But it also means the game shouldn’t be too impossibly long. And if anyone is worried about the time investment, they can stick to the quests and skip most of the unmarked locations.

New Nvidia drivers just got pushed out to me, so make sure to update!

This also occurs every time you change the zone, for example travelling from Velen to Skellige or vice versa.

“Here to talk about Dudu.”

Uh…huh huh huh.

Had a chat with an old friend by a fire in the main quest. The graphics look gorgeous there. All the clothing textures really pop.

Hah, the DRM quest.

The main quest in Novigrad is a bit of a grind at first, but they reward you with some exciting drama, high stakes, and old friends.

I thought this too, but more keep showing up. It never ends.

Then you get to the isles, and it gets even more ridiculous, with like a thousand new quests… And everywhere you go, there’s some random dead dude on the road, or some people getting attacked, and it leads to new quests.

Sandstorm!

Oh…

Oh man I had to spoil the romance subplots. This is so difficult to decide!

major romance spoilers

Sounds like I can do the unicorn and still go back to Triss. Or just say “let’s try again” to Triss and keep it open-ended for now?? Can I make a final decision later? And yes I’m aware of the “third way,” which I’m trying to avoid. :)

This is about a million times more important than BS like how to save Tali. /ducks

[EDIT] Book readers I might need your help here.

more research

Sounds like I have to say “I love you” now or that’s it for Triss. I have two saves with each choice. Leaning toward trusting you guys about Yennefer! The ball was magical but I’m not seeing it with Triss long-term.

I feel like a little girl. How is it possible that a videogame is doing this to me? This is great!

I went with Triss. She’s the one!

I’m glad I am getting close to wrapping up Novigrad. I just don’t like the city nearly as much as the wilderness and small towns. Still some good quests, but I just get tired of being there.

I just don’t know!!!

PSA: if you care about the romance you really ought to do some Skellige with Yennefer before the “Now or Never” quest in Novigrad. They ain’t kidding with that quest name.

I could revert my save, but that would be cheating. I mean, even more than I already have been.

Has anyone here beaten the game yet? Related to the romance decision, I’m dying to know what happens with something with a bare minimum of spoilers. I’m afraid to Google it. I’ve already seen a bit too much.

question about Kaer Morhen

I’ve had a few options to send important characters here. Is it one big family reunion at the end of the game? Don’t tell me the details one way or the other!! I mostly want to know if I should let Triss down now or let her come hang out at Witcher Castle with all the gang. Which I guess would be awkward if Yennefer is there.

Tim, you’re cracking me up. I thought I was the only one getting worked up over these decisions. Fortunately, I’m not quite as far along as you, having only just completed the Count Reuven’s Treasure quest (and Jebus was that a long one).

I’m concerned about the lost experience points I would have earned this weekend had it not been for that XP bug. CD Projekt promises a fix tomorrow, but I assume it won’t be retroactive? I’m pretty sure I lost an entire level or more in a couple of days playing.

If you have a Nvidia 7xx class videocard, the performance upgrade is measured around +15%.

Though I’m also reading about crashes, but then that’s not unprecedented.

No kidding. On top of that doing the “Now or Never” quest means that Triss is no longer around to help with other quest items that you find, something that irritated me to no end.

That’s me! I’ve got it running pretty smoothly now, but 15% more smoothness would be welcome. :)

The crashes not so much, but Im willing to give it a go.

The worst is when you do the Last Wish quest, where

Last Wish

they only give you two options

-“I don’t love you anymore, the magic is gone.”
-“I still love you”.

What. Whaaat. That’s so unfair. Damnit Geralt, what I really wanted to say was “I loved you, but several years have passed with you missing, in that time I found love again in another person”. I want to do a proper break up with a set of bytes!

But the quest was great, it was something that I also thought, the djinn wish maybe was the root of the problem between them. If they loved each other, they would be a couple without the need of the wish, if they break up after, it wasn’t meant to be.

your romance choice

Does that mean you picked Triss then?? Argh I can’t decide.
