Pretty sure there’s nothing smart like that built-in, it’s not the greatest of interfaces. I’m still missing a few cards but every match is so easy that getting more cards would just be busywork.
If I recall correctly you can get them from shoreline monsters such as Nekkers. Stalk the beach for a while and kill everything in sight. The developers have changed who drops what with the patches though, so that information may be outdated.

From my experience you only get lesser red mutagens from higher level monsters, I started noticing drops ~lvl 18+. Safest bet is probably Endrega farming on Skellige, I found some that spawned just west of Giant’s Toe marker.
So far it’s a bust for me. It didn’t track my hours played (it stopped after 2h45m so I just started launching the game through Steam instead since that gave me screenshot functionality). Also, it lacks screenshot functionality. I didn’t realize until weeks in I had to manually check the DLC boxes for new DLC, it wasn’t automatic. And then, just recently I uninstalled Witcher 3 (since I beat it and want to play a fresh play-through once the expansions are out) and I had to remove EACH DLC individually off my uninstall programs menu to remove them from the menu. It, in my opinion, has quite a long ways to go.
Well, it is still in beta. It’ll get there.
Hah, I did that too sometimes. I hope for my next playthrough with expansions, they will either patch more camera options in or some mods will take care of that.
I’m at about page 80 of the thread - I think people are about to get the game!
If you are far enough in the game then the north eastern beach on the main isle of Skellige spawns a couple of large groups of drowners right around the fast travel point where you do the “Black Pearl” quest. You might need to have done some of the quests in Skellige to get them to spawn. I would travel to that point, quickly kill the drowners and get two or three lesser red mutagens each time.
I didn’t notice that yet and that’s one of the oddest quirks yet. I don’t believe I ever saw minor DLC listed in Programs and Features for any game before now. And because they aren’t named starting with “The Witcher 3…,” they are scattered among my list of programs. Blech. Is that due to installing via Galaxy or is that a new quirk of GOG games in general? At least the AoW3 scenario has “Age of Wonders III” in its name.

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered, but I’m not reading 150 pages to find out:
I read comments as to the fact that the combat in 3 is vastly improved over 2. Now, I’m on the fence about 3, still, particularly because I hated the combat and the QTE button-mashing in the second game so much it completely ruined it for me. I love the setting, the atmosphere, the characters, but every tine I try to restart 2, I get to that stupid fucking ballista and just rage quit.
So, what I want to know is how it’s better. How does the combat differ from the other two games in the series. (FTR, I enjoyed the combat in the first game a lot more).

It’s not great. Higher level monsters are mostly gated by insane amounts of HP. Speccing concoctions will let you negate that and defeat pretty much anything.
Someone on the official boards said it felt balanced for not spending any ability points ever. That sounds about right.
Well in Witcher 3, someone else fires the ballista. (That might be a spoiler).
There are no QTEs.
The combat is a bit more faster in general terms, and in specific in Geralt’s reactions, which feel less clunky. It also includes a new super useful sidestep movement, in addition to the old roll, so you have to think which to use in each situation. The enemy also leaves you a bit of breathing room, they still can attack you several at the same time but it isn’t everyone in one go. There are more enemy variety and each one has more special attributes and/or special attacks, which makes combat against them more fun.
To be fair, if my computer was borderline obsolete but I wasn’t sure if that meant 15 FPS or 25-30 FPS… I’d welcome a liberal refund policy. I’m sure the developers would too as I wouldn’t have even tried to play their game without it.

I thought about that but I’m not sure two hours with the game would really be enough to determine if it’s a keeper.
Possible I misunderstand your question but for me all the available DLCs are listed under Witcher 3 > More > Configure with a tick box next to each DLC (using Galaxy)
I actually like this system, makes it easy to see which DLC is active or not at a glance.
As Turin mentioned, no QTE at all so you should be fine.
One minor annoyance: I’ll be tracking Secondary Quest A, run across Secondary Quest B, complete that, and then instead of going back to tracking Secondary Quest A, it’ll set Primary Quest C as active. And the quest it keeps picking is recommended for 7 levels above where I am now.
