Another victim. Skin is dry, like his bodily fluids were destroyed from within. Head completely missing. Limbs tossed aside like husks of grain.
This one’s old. Experienced. Will need to prepare.
“I guess we know where now for man raised by puffins”
Pair it up with an Ekhidna decoction and it’s laughably broken. Hold the fast attack button for less than half a second and you go from almost 0 health to full. It effectively makes you invincible.
Low Spec Gamer! I knew last gen consoles could probably have run it! :p

I figured that out pretty quick. I was really disappointed in my new 970 SLI setup until I realized it.
Another issue I ran into was 4k gaming. I thought it was impossible with my setup because when I enabled it, it dropped to 3-4fps. I found out though if I selected 4k, quit the game and relaunched it the FPS shot up to 30fps with drops down to 25 on Ultra (minus hairworks, high shadows, and no AA). So that was a lovely surprise. 4k Witcher 3 makes 1080p look like a pixelated mess.

They can be bought at least 3-4 different places for 1000 crowns.
Stupid question, that I could probably test out in the game, but as you go up the tiers for skills, does each tier have to be equipped to have all the ‘bonuses’ for the points you’ve spent? I’ve wondered about that since the game was released, Googling doesn’t find an answer for me, and I’m assuming it’s yes.
Each skill does, not each tier per se. Probably what you meant.
after playing a bit more, I’m beginning to wonder: is it actually feasible to do nothing sometimes? I’ve run into several situations now where you have a choice to stand back and not interfere, letting mobs kill people for example. So far, I didn’t stand back, and in all those cases my interfering led to a nice questline (most notably: Fools Gold). I get the feeling that these situations, allthough presented as moments of choices, really aren’t that: yes you can choose to do nothing, but if you do so you just miss out on a nice quest. So I pretty much feel obliged to act.
Same with the people asking for help: sure you can say you’re not interested, but why would you? You just don’t get the quest then?
So, for my information and without going into detail/spoilers please: are there situations in the game where standing back and doing nothing actually leads to another quest? Making this choice an actual choice?
I just need to gush a bit in the main thread after finishing the game tonight. I’m supremely impressed CDPR was able to finish this game. It’s so enormous and yet it almost never lost its delicate touch.
I know people had some frustrating main quest bugs early on, but imagine Bohemia Interactive or Obsidian trying to make this game.

So, after a marathon 15-hour download, this beast is finally installing. My first question is how it performs with keyboard and mouse, or do I need to dig up my controller?

I am playin k&m but on easy as i am all about the story but i think at higher levels pad may be needed
Mouse is totally fine. I’m on mouse.
So I have run into my first bit of “this is kind of a chore.” The ocean points of interest in Skellige. Grab a boat, get attacked by sirens, jump in water, kill sirens slowly with my terrible crossbow aim, rinse and repeat. Are there any tricks I am missing? I have tried fighting them on the boat but they just knock me off or damage the boat. Had a five minute encumbered swim back to Svorlag last night. Fiend potion ran out in transit and then the sirens hit.
Wish I could hire a long boat to take me around, maybe split the smugglers cache booty with the crew but maybe thats for another game.
I think the conclusion was not to bother with all the marked locations in Skellige.
I finished the game with m&k in the hardest difficulty. And still was too easy.
Grab a boat, get attacked by sirens, jump in water, kill sirens slowly with my terrible crossbow aim, rinse and repeat.
As Tim James said, I just didn’t bother, but if you want to kill sirens quicker, just dive underwater and one shot them when they follow.

Does this game have precision ranged aiming? If it does Ill play this M&K, otherwise Ill use the controller.
