Yet another place where CDPR’s attention to detail made me smile.

I was enjoying Gwent at first but at some point the difficulty ramped up to where I had no possible chance of winning, so I stopped playing. I still buy Gwent cards from merchants, so maybe I’ll take it back up once I’ve built up a respectable deck.

Do we know how the two larger pieces of DLC will be integrated? I’m skipping all these smaller parts with a plan to include them in the next playthrough… but will they be available then?

Two larger pieces of DLC? Do you mean the expansions? Those are not coming until October (first part) and Q1 2016 (bigger one).

As for the DLC, there are 16 in total (at least), so 3 more to go. There were rumors that one of those DLCs would be a New Game Plus mode, but it’s been confirmed by CDPR that such a mode won’t be one of the 16 DLCs. However, they said they’re evaluating an option to add New Game+ somehow at some point.

And now I have to get all the goddamn way back.

Me, two weeks ago ^^^^^^^^^^^

Literally. Why would my character know that Ciri is in danger, I just promised someone I would try to save their loved one, a village is being terrorized, and oh - let’s stop and play cards? ESPECIALLY since I don’t play deck collecting card games. I may be the only person in this forum who never could get into Ascension. Or any other deck building game.

So I don’t know why it’s got its grip on me. I played a couple of rounds, had a tough one where I felt like, Oh, I see what he did there, I think I know what I did wrong, let’s try that again… next thing you know, I’m hooked.

Use fast travel. Do a few rounds of Gwent while en route.

And be sure to turn on question marks. That’s the best way to play.

Like fast travel through The Louvre, man…

Edit: And it’s taken about an hour to get back up there. Glorious :)

Ciri alternate costume.

Only one worth is Yen’s, for now.

The bare midriff is just unnecessary, it looks lame. Other than that it looks cool though.

They got rid her of scar?

No, they just transferred it to her midriff.

I like Triss’s new outfit, but the necklace bugs out pretty hardcore when she’s wearing lingerie.

Description of Triss’s character

She’s a witch, in hiding, trying to escape from fanatics…

Her usual costume fits the character perfectly, and drives home how much she’s changed since TW2.

The new costume destroys the characterization to an extent I find unintentionally hilarious. After 2 minutes I had to exit the game and change it back…

More cleavage is always better! :-) My only characterization of Triss before witcher 3 was the 2 hrs I played of witcher 1 so yeah I like the new outfit.

I was going through all the ?'s in velen but it was taking forever. Doing the bottle selling merchant trick and getting maximum value for all the crap I’ve been picking up I’m now over 25K crowns. That seems like a healthy amount. Now I can afford to use that repair all button. Living the good life! So then I started targeting just the places of power. Except a few are a pain to get to. So I went back and did now or never. Amazing all that is an optional side quest. So much good content. I’m now back to trying to wrap up the main quests in novigrad.

Just met up with Triss in Novigrad, and based on that first bit, I wouldn’t know how Yen is ever going to even stand a chance…

And on another note: so far, I find there’s surprisingly few sidequests in the city. Or are they just better hidden?

Right?

From having played the first two games so much, when you meet Triss finally, you realize how thoroughly her life has been nuked. You dumped her. She lost all her standing and status. Now she’s hunted, her home ransacked and covered in graffiti. You just want to give her a big hug and make it all better somehow.

I think at leasy some of them appear when you reach a certain point in the story and are unavailable before.

There are loads of sidequests in Novigrad. It’s one of those points in the game where you keep thinking you’re about to move on and then suddenly you’ve got a dozen new quests.
