Set armor went up to level 25 for example.
Is this patch out on Ps4 yet? Played it yesterday evening, and the inventory was as clunky as ever…
The added new features to the inventory like a books tab and ordering options, but they didn’t change fundamentally the inventory system.
Patch was out on PS4 when I played yesterday afternoon.
Which set armour? Witcher gear?
Hm, strange. I’ll have to look again then…

I know the Feline set went from level 14 minimum to 17 now.
Yeah, just managed to get the update and checked it out. Looks like all the Witcher gear went up by 3 levels apiece.
The new movement system certainly feels much smoother, without that stop/start motion that happened so much.
I am in 2 minds about the chest thing.
From a convenience point of view as a gamer, it is great, now I can hoover up everything and have 4+ different armor sets saved up etc. OTOH, it does not fit in with the lore at all, Geralt is meant to be a somewhat poor, errand monster killer with only the limited equipment that he can afford to carry with him. Not a full on merchant with unlimited storage space.
Cannot wait for CDPR to progress further their cyberpunk game, see what they can do in a more open setting (please don’t mess it up, please don’t mess it up, please don’t disappoint!)
Turns out I’m at version 1.05, so my game misses the last two updates. But when I check for updates, the Ps4 can’t find any. Off to the support forum I guess (but if any of you has any suggestions on how to fix this, I’d love to hear them too!)
Edit: found out Ps4 never got 1.06, so just the last update missing. For some reason it’s available to most, but not to all…
Have they done something to the graphics? Seems crisper somewhat. (They do reset the config, and I’ve put that back the way I had it).
3 levels? It seems a good balance choice. Witcher sets, at their levels, are clearly better than any alternative.
Yeah, probably a good choice. Unfortunately, I JUST sold a bunch of really cool swords and armor that were almost as good as the Feline and Griffen pieces I’m using. I’m level 14. Now I likely won’t be able to use the ones I kept and can’t get back the ones I sold.
Thanks. I found it and you’re right, it’s completely inaccurate.
Apparently parts of Europe can’t get 1.07 on the PS4 yet.
I like the new movement. It’s subtle. It doesn’t feel all that different, but feels better, for sure. After seeing that GIF upthread, I was afraid it was going to be ludicrously different movement.
I’m sad to see the report on Eurogamer that the new patch lowers the framerate in busy areas on the console versions though.
And the swords I was using are indeed too high level for me now. Luckily I did keep one backup sword in each slot, so it’s not a total disaster like I was fearing. Thank god for my paranoid tendencies.
Well I’d be naked with very little money if I actually installed this patch. Good god, they just cannot get actual gameplay with no frustrating bs right, despite everything else. And after they finally realized their dodge-heavy action game had horrible, god awful, delayed-response controls.

So I was wearing the first upgraded feline set before the patch but had to put on fancy clothes for a quest. The patch hit and the level requirements shot up to 23. I was still 21 but close to 22. At least I still had my swords equipped but I could no longer put on my witcher armor. So I was stuck with whatever crappy blues I had in my inventory at the time.
They also killed the bottle trick. The merchant eventually runs out of bottles. The loan shark no longer has coins for sale. At least I got up to 48K crowns which is probably enough for quite a while.
Must be me, but I haven’t had more then 6-7 K for the last 8 lvls, yet I never felt I was in need of more money than that. I always leave the crappy weapon-loot on the ground now, and I only go sell stuff when I’m nearing the inventory limit… So, do things get more expensive at higher lvls (16 atm), making money more of a problem later on? If not, what on earth would you use 48K for?
