None of the Witcher games has good balancing and none of the Witcher games had good loot. So it wasn’t exactly surprising.
And your reasoning is flawed, as previous Witcher games didn’t used procedural generation.
They should drop loot and introduce cartography.
What do you mean? I have made no reference to previous games.
He means that you equated disappointing loot with procedural generation, yet the previous games had disappointing loot that was hand crafted. So procedural doesn’t explain it.
110 hours in… what a game.
games still come in boxes?

The Witcher sets are much better than level equivalent dropped loot but they have a cost, almost an upkeep cost until you outlevel your set of choice around 30+. What I mean is, you are going to spend a lot of time hunting down maps and diagrams, and occasionally mats, and then a craftsman to make the gear and alternating between at least 2 of the 4 sets, if not more, to stay in level appropriate Witcher gear. Not to mention Griffin and Cat look like dogshit so you should never wear those despite the stats.
What I disliked most about the loot system was the random nature of looting alchemy recipes.
Hmm. Having a few graphics glitches post 1.08. Sky/weather effects have glitched quite badly, twice now.
There’s a known conflict with the Geralt assless pants mod.
You’re not using that one, are you?
I said I wanted to Assess Plants!
I had to replay the last part of the main quest again, finally got my finished the game and level 35 achievements. :)
Can someone give me a ballpark idea of how much time is left on the critical path once you get to
probably not actually a spoiler, but just in case
Kaer Morhen? I’m at 117 hours and just got there.
Actually, if you ignore most sidequests and keep to the main story path, you’re looking at half that time, roughly.
Also depends on if you did all the side quests beforehand. You’ll see, just press on. But fair warning that’s not the end!
I’ve spent a lot of the time focusing on secondary quests and witcher contract, but have every intention of clearing out my quest log (except for maybe one or two collection quests) by the time I get to the actual end.

I took about 35h from that point and had already pre-done Brothers in Arms quests for Velen and Novigrad, and pretty much did just main quests + clearly story related secondaries. Not witcher contracts or treasure hunts, etc. So 15h seems really low. Remember, this is the very beginning of act 2!
Anonymgeist, can you please report back once you’re done? :-)
Just the critical path? More like 11h.
