Do you mean she gets stuck every time you reload a save? Even if you try running up there, to force her to walk a different path? That should do the trick…
In other news, I just ditched Jennefer. Not doing so wasn’t an option: I didn’t read the books, so I really don’t feel any connection with her, but it still was hard, and her reaction actually made her look sympathetic for the first time! Perhaps in a rerun, when I do have a connection with her because of what happens in this game, I’ll try that path. Then again, I have played this game for months now and still haven’t progressed beyond the start of act two, so a rerun probably won’t happen until late next year…

I finally got this to work. The secret was to not press “A” to open the door before I tried rushing in through the doorway ahead of her. I never got that to work, and I thought that’s what you guys wanted me to do: open the door, and then get in there ahead of her.
This time I tried just squeezing in between the door and her while it was still closed. And I discovered that there’s no need to press “A”. Geralt opens the door automatically when he runs into one. I had no idea until now.
Anyway, I’m so glad to be past this part. Thank you so much!
As a result though, I didn’t even ask Triss to stay. She can take her bullying ways and leave.
Fair enough :-) . Good to hear you can continue again!
Finally finished the game – didn’t play much over the summer but I’ve been recovering from surgery the past week so I decided to complete it before the expansions come out. 182 hours! Nuts.
I think it’s pretty safe to say it’s my all time favorite RPG.

What kinds of builds did you all generally go with? Right now, I’m almost exclusively sign oriented.

I started out evenly split between Red and Blue (offensive moves and Signs), but have been leaning more towards Red over the last few months. Only problem is that leveling has been so slow over the course of August and September, that I’ve mostly forgotten what plans I initially made for Geralt. Just looking at my point layout, it looks like I’d planned to unlock the third tier of Red first, and then invest my first point into the second tier of Blue (even though I can do that at any time, I have had enough points into Blue since June).

I originally had a mix of combat and signs, but once I could respec, I went with a focus on signs so I could max out Igni and Quen. Put the spares into stuff that would keep potion toxicity from happening so quickly.

Levels weren’t too hard to come by. I think I went fast strikes, Quen, strong strikes, potion stuff, Igni, potion stuff, or something.

It’s just the section of game I’m in. The last dozen and a half quests that I’ve completed in Novagrad have all awarded me experience of 4 each. But none of these quests have really been about any kind of major combat, they’re all story quests that had to be completed or ones I wanted to complete to know what happens to that character next. But it has meant that I haven’t leveled up since the middle of August or so.
Ok, this was on sale so I picked it up.I enjoyed the prior games even though I finished neither.
But Why the hell can’t I remap my keys?
Why in the hell are you playing with keys?!

I’ve had no trouble remapping my keys. What exactly is happening?
Yeah, it’ll let me remap my all my keys. Just checked and remapped all of them.
Then I reset to defaults because controller, but still.
Dunno why it’s not working for Lloyd.
I don’t use a controller.
I can remap movement directions as I always do, but I like to map “interact” to Spacebar.
When I do that it unlinks a couple of other things, jump for example. But then when I try to remap jump to another key it states “You can’t do that now”.
I’m past the Tutorial, I will try again, in case it was related to tutorial instructions they did not want to deal with changing per remaps.

You can try the ini file. I still ran into some issues with some game pad buttons.

According to a CDPR rep on the official forum, here’s the split for The Witcher 3 at the end of June.
PC - 30%
Consoles - 70%
25% - Digital sales (50% of the total revenue)
75% - Retail
Recently released financial data excludes the proceeds from Expansion Passes/preorders.
80% of all marketing costs were covered by the distributors - namely Namco Bandai, Warner Bros and partners in other regions.

I finally wrapped up all the little quests I had going on in Novagrad, and found a ship to take me to Skellige. Some of those Novagrad quests’ dialog was so well written. It’s moments like that which give me the warm fuzzies when playing this game. And they make me think “You know what? Forget Fallout 4. I know it’s going to be tempting and the new shiny game this fall and all that. But Witcher 3 is so good, you can’t abandon this game when Fallout 4 comes out.”
I checked my hours. 83+ hours played, 24% achievements completed.

Hang in there Rock8!
Not sure FO4 will compare to Mad Max tbh :)

Yeah judging based on past Bethesda games I very much doubt Fallout 4 will have well written characters/dialogues/story. I am still looking forward to it for the exploration and Fallout vibe, at least. But I am glad Hearts of Stone is releasing in October so people will get a reminder who is the god emperor of RPG genre :)
It’s Novigrad, btw :)
