Whoo, I’m at level 4 and I just took out a level 15 Bilge Hag that I stumbled upon who was guarding a chest in a swamp. Took me about 10 minutes chipping away at her, alternating between Quen and Axii. Got me a nice relic sword called Carabella… I figured I wouldn’t be able to equip it but, lo and behold, I could! Three rune slots on that bad boy.

Here’s me posing for a screenshot with Carabella while in the background, some poor, hapless villager is getting attacked by rabid dogs. (Click the pic for full-size.) He’s probably wishing I was using Carabella to help him out but he’ll have to wait 'til tomorrow.

Such a beautiful sword, and such an ugly lowrent armor :D
But yeah the early armors are rough, too bad the starting one cannot be upgraded along the way.

Viper Armor looks a lot like it, though, if you want a similar look, and its stats are better than most other witcher armor sets. I think.

What’s the word on the armor Geralt had with the fur on top in the previews? Is it another tier of Ursine or is it a redesigned mastercraft?

I believe I can answer that on his behalf - a few years back there was a cool “zombify your face!” app that came out in conjunction with the Walking Dead, and you could 'zombify" your portrait. I made zombie version of myself and the kids. It was pretty cool. And pretty disturbing! Anyway, every time I see his avatar I get a chuckle - it’s pretty good, zombie dad holding young human baby. I am guessing he used that app or something similar to create it.

Yep, that’s it! The picture had outlasted my interest in the show unfortunately, with all the Glennja magic escapes and what not.

True, but Viper is for late game…in the start the armors on offer look pretty bad apart from the starting one.
