Right? If nothing else, I have to give huge props to them for having the cajones to do that. Sorta get the feeling that CDPR has it all on the line here on this game. Reviews a week before release date is either gutsy as hell or totally insane.

And its been announced on the twitters, Witcher 3 has over 1 million pre-orders.

I’m not sure something like what they are going for with the Witcher 3, in terms of scope/size of the open world, plus the visceral combat and the adult subject matter, is really very “retro”. I wonder how many Witcher 3 pre-orders are from folks looking for a “GTA V with Swords and Magic” experience?

Is anyone else ordering the special edition with the statue and the medallion and all the other goodies? Has anyone seen an unboxing video or anything on the quality of the finalized statue?

I’m trying to predict how well that stamina regen system will work. I don’t want to have to run away and kite enemies if I want to use another sign.
If you eat a banana while in combat, you regain stamina. You can also eat it in real life, for the same benefits.
So the banana downgrade means no stamina regain? This keeps getting better and better.
That is a big goddamn box.

I want to see the statue, hopefully they post a picture of that later, and hopefully it looks like it did when they first revealed it, and not slightly muddier with less detail and shadowing.
That banana looks flat shaded. I prefer the Banana of Destiny.
On a more serious note – what happened to the marketing deal between Microsoft and CD Projekt RED? Was that actually a thing because I’ve seen little to no real Xbox centric promotion.
All the TV commercials I’ve seen have been for the Xbox One version. None at all for the PS4.
Well every box / case I’ve seen so far has been for the XBox One, so there is that.
Rumor has it, The CE box contains a styrofoam cooler and dry ice to preserve the banana for shipping.
My guess is that statue probably takes up 20% of that box. :p

Yeah I’ve seen way more PS4 promo stuff and service. I’m guessing the deal with MS came apart. Or, to quote dwarf philosopher Zoltan Chivay: “That got fucked.”
