I took it to mean they went through 23 hard drives during development.

I figured it was 23 people working on it, each with a PC that contained a hard drive. :p

Their proofreading is a bit weak. 4000 hours is watching Game of Thrones 80 times, not 8. Plus ‘centrifugal force of the universe’… okaaayyyyy.

That’s an awful fail-rate! ;D

Must be Seagates! :p

1 hr till reviews? CORRECT?

Yep. The CDPR dudes (and our own infrequently posting Tom Ohle, who’s handling PR) are pretty much bouncing off the walls in nervous anticipation. They’ve got a lot on the line here.

Ah ok , Tom Ohle… that sounds familier, did he do PR for Evolve? I swear I’ve seen that name before.

Yep: https://twitter.com/EvolveTom

Evolve is the name of his company. They handle out-of-house PR for companies that don’t have dedicated PR in company (Ubi and EA have their own, for instance). CDPR was his first client when he started his company. He also I think still does Paradox and Paradox titles, among others.

Ah ha! Also he does Dying light apparently, because they have a DLC coming out on May 26th according to his twitter!

Back on topic, some of the 16 FREE Dlcs have new images!

Temerion Armor Set, Beard and Hairstyle Set, and a Alternative Look for Yennefer.

Gamespot: 10/10

“The Witcher Wild Hunt is one of the best games ever made.”

Interesting. The Xbox One version uses dynamic resolution scaling. The image output can shift from 900p to 1080p depending on what’s happening in the game.

A 10! I can’t remember when I saw one of them from Gamespot last.

IGN 9.3

Gameinformer 9.75

IGN: 9.3

Game Informer: 9.75

GameTrailers 9.8: “One of the best RPGs ever made.” He covers one concern of mine by mentioning that the game’s story, setting, and twists and turns pulls you forward as much through the later segments as the early ones.

Watch this game get another million pre-orders before launch, I haven’t seen a review posted yet below a 9.

PCGames.de
90/100 but they reduced the score due to minor technical problems and expect to raise it after the release patch.

Gamestar.de / GamePro
92%, which is very high for them - but: “barren and unsatisfying character system”

Eurogamer decide not to release a review score yet, but offer their impressions thus far, and they’re in the same range as everyone else.

I guess it pays to wait. I’m getting 7.5 MB/s doing the preload using GOG Galaxy.
