Interesting, that link mentions that the 360 is now the leading seventh generation console in the U.S. now. Is that right? That’s how much the Wii sales fell off a cliff? I remember Wii being well ahead of the 360 in the 7th generation U.S. sales 3 years ago.

The 360 started outselling the Wii month-to-month way back in 2010, though. That’s a lot of units over five years.

Yeah, it took awhile for everybody to buy a Wii for the excellent Wii Sports, then realize that Wii Sports was the only great motion game ever to be made, and motion control varied between terrible and mediocre for everything else. Also HDTVs got really, really cheap.

I like the controller update. After watching Netflix or Youtube, I’ve always been slightly annoyed by the 4-5 seconds wait to be able to do something.

Xbone stopped reading discs, now it’s packed and ready to ship to McAllen, TX for repairs. Hopefully this won’t take more than a couple of weeks.

Woot has a refurb Xbone with Kinect and Ryse for $375. If you care about Kinect at all this seems like a pretty good deal.
