Microsoft store had the Halo bundle (500Gig) version with the free game obviously, and a $50 online code to the MS store too. MS is making it really hard to go with the PS4 (which I was about to do). If I can actually go pick one up at the MS store as opposed to ordering it, I’ll prob be getting one this afternoon.

Keep in mind that Halo MCC still has terrible, unfixed multiplayer (including co-op) issues. If you just want the grand collection of single player Halo, then it’s fantastic. MP is a shitshow, however.

Couple friends really liked it on Steam. It’s an adorably cute puzzle platformer.

I’m looking forward to playing Gears 3, only did the first two after picking them up for a dollar at Gamestop.

I’ve played quite a bit of co-op with my kids and it works very well for that. It’s a lot of fun too.

That’s a bit of a tough order right now. Nearly all of the really good games are cross-platform also on PC, PS4, and/or 360. The highest-rated true exclusive is Sunset Overdrive, which has an 81 on Metacritic. Arkham Knight would be a decent option to maximize value since it just came out, and the PC port was botched and pulled.

I would recommend Witcher 3 if you don’t have it on the PC. It’s a fantastic game that everyone should be playing right now regardless of platform.

Yeah finally, Black Flag is a great bargain to snag and one of the best AC titles ever. Great gold value.

I thought the multiplayer issues in MCC were mostly fixed, but I guess not?

I think I’ll get the deal and also a Live subscription. I notice Massive Chalice is a free game this month for the Xbox One, but I likely won’t have the Xbox One until after Massive Chalice expires at the end of this month. Does Live work like PS Plus in that I don’t have to actually download the game to the console in order to have it linked to my account? Can I just “purchase” Massive Chalice and then download it later even though the game expired on Gold?

That is correct, yes. The game will stay yours as long as you stay a Gold member. And you can log in on the website and “buy it” if you don’t have an Xbox One yet.

It’s even better for 360 games, those games stay yours even if you stop being a Gold member.

Yeah, you can not only “buy” Xbox One Games with Gold titles from Xbox.com, you can also find them in the Gold section on 360 and queue them from there.

Kadath, I just invited you. It said you’d get notification “soon.” I believe it’s via an Xbox Live message, but my own membership is internal, so not sure how it works for the regular preview program.

Yeah, you’ll get an Xbox Live message with a description how to download the preview app.

Welcome to the Xbox Preview program! To register your console(s), open this message on your Xbox One, install the Xbox Preview Dashboard by selecting ‘Launch app’, and then ‘Get it FREE’ from the app details page.

Then, after registering, you’ll have to wait to be approved. Took me 3-4 days.

Just to be clear, messages won’t be in the upper left notification. They’re a part of the social/friends app that’s one panel to the right of where you start on the dashboard. Sorry, I guess that’s a little harder to describe than I was expecting.

“Get it FREE” is on 99% of spam filters. “Get it FREE” is something only a spammer, or a person with spammer mindset would write in a email.
