Yahtzee writes his shit down on as he goes through a game. Naturally, combat is going to be one of the first things he picks up on. So he wrote it down and continued with the rest of the game. You think he’s going to remember looking back and see if combat improved later? He has other shit to write about to rain down on later.
Then he has to record the voice parts, then do the animation for ZP, do the cutting, paste the voice in, make it all mash well together, yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah.

You’re standing in-front of a painting, over analyzing the painting and then over analyzing the artist who made it; all the while you’ve been ZERO-PORTION participants/witnesses to its creation process. Yeah, he’s definitely not 100% in this one, but I’m sure he’s contracted to deliver a certain number of these per year, so taking the week off isn’t really an option in that situation. The show must go on.

If he’s anything like me, he was busy screaming at the game’s awful camera and wore himself out.

I died via shitty camera angle more than any other enemy in the game and the insta-kill “Surprise! The last checkpoint was 10 minutes ago, ENJOY!” traps combined.

Methinks he might have taken his rage at being sick out a little on poor Bioshock 2 but I don’t care, I had a fun 10 minutes and thats all I ever ask of Yahtzee.
