Newsflash! Just because someone disagrees with does not mean you have to be a jerk to them! I know being 17 is difficult, but high school will end soon buddy. Don’t worry.
By the way, neither TF2 nor Civ 4 have cover systems! So you are factually incorrect, a terrible thing to be.
I probably should’ve stayed out of this thread given how I feel about single player FPS games, but what did you like about it? I found the AI to be so gamey that the enemies were not interesting (being able to know where I was despite my sniping from far away, I’m not sure SPOILER FOR BIOSHOCK2 OPENING VIDEO why I was still alive after shooting myself 10 years ago, there was not significant change to the player abilities (although I, like Pogo, think the spear gun was a good idea), every NPC that blabs on is ridiculous, and listening to Sinclair is like watching someone in a horror movie go into a basement. “No, no you fool!” you shout! But to no avail, you’re forced to make your character walk down those stairs. And I just don’t want to do that.
I fully realise that my experience could be totally different to yours, and that neither is invalid. I don’t think less of anyone for liking Bioshock 2 or anything. Your remarks about Moby Dick on the other hand…
Moby Dick is a very dull book.

Civ 4 does have cover for troops, in case you don’t know.
According to Yahtzee’s twitter, next week is Heavy Rain.
Sweet. That is going to be hilarious. Just the nature of the game lends itself to some great gags.
I hope he’ll be able to top Tom’s hilarious Nommen Jadden gag.

It’s the American way. In fact, it’s in the Bill of Rights.
Heavy Rain, if the site ever finishes loading…
It’s stuck for me too. Booooo
Yea the site is down for whatever reason, oh well.
Worked for me. Very funny this week. I especially loved the part about the time traveler.
Finally got it to work. Fantastic review. :)
Worked for me. Good one too (in other words, Yahtzee had bad things to say). Was wondering is his “unbearable scene” wasn’t a bit too spoilery. But, then again, not sure as I haven’t played the game.

Ehh. He generally spoils things, so I don’t see the issue.
That’s not a spoiler. He doesn’t even say who does it.
I very much agree with him on the complaint that the identity of the murderer remains the same no matter what you do. That seems like a complete no-brainer in that kind of game, especially given what they’re trying to do. There are a few scenes in the game that make me think that was the original plan but it just never came together correctly so they gave up on it.

I would have thought more highly of Heavy Rain if it suddenly had a spontaneous song and dance number in the middle of it. It could have been an evolution of Ethan’s hallucinations to have them go all Bollywood out of the blue.

That was great. I’m with him except for liking the Saw rip-off part. My wife was positive that the identity of the killer would change depending on your actions. Why wouldn’t it?
