The ponce yammers on about Alpha Protocol this week.

I wonder how much text there is in one of his episodes. 4k characters? More? Has anyone counted?
I get the feeling he liked it.
That definitely counted as a positive ZP Review.

There’s a third JB? Gasp!
I much prefer the options as presented in the credits: James Bond, Jack Bauer, or John Barrowman.
Yahtzee complimented AP on its minigames! Usually, they are low hanging fruit for any critic who wants to take an axe to the game, or needs some criticisms to fill up a con list to show balance.
Yahtzee has a tendency to hide insults in praise, which the whole “ponce” intro just might have been, but definitely a fairly positive review for the man.
Why is Kevin Conroy a ponce? I love him. :(

For a moment my brain simply presumed it was Stephen Conroy. Now I too wonder.
“I can’t think of a joke here, so here’s a picture of a dog in a hat.”
Really quite a positive review by Yahtzee standards!

Actually Portal was his most positive review.
“If you don’t like Portal, you’re stooopid.” - Yahtzee

“Congratulations, you have just received your punishment for not buying Psychonauts. I’d like to know how you think gaming is ever going to adapt as an artform if people go out of their way to make original games but fuckwits like you never actually buy them because they’re too busy inhaling furious amounts of dick.” - Yahtzee again

He calls Portal perfect. There’s nowhere to go from there.
Can’t blame the man, really, there’s no other word to use.
Zylon’s quote is why I actually take Yahtzee seriously. As much as he is funny, he is also right most of the time.
I keep hoping he does DDO or LOTRO…it would be brutal…but funny!
Shamus on the Escapist is pretty good in his long series on LOTRO. Not really as vicious as he was to Champions Online, so I presume he likes the game.
But he really calls into question the whole quest design process, since as presented in his series (which is quite honestly for the most part), they make such little sense. And though he has yet to comment on any quest I designed (maybe they’ve all been rewritten by now?) I doubt mine could stand up to any more scrutiny than the others he describes. Indeed some of those quests seem to be quite imbecilic in hindsight.
I was in a meeting about ‘who does what best’ in the MMO space.
When quests came up—we left it blank. I said Modern Warfare II, but no one wanted to use a SP game as a metric…which personally I think is a mistake:) I want GTA IV presentation on the critical path…but I’m slightly insane too.
Kill, fed ex and fetch quest should not be MMO game’s gold standard.

I would like a quest in which you have to convince a low-level adventurer to engage in repetitive item-gathering in exchange for nearly insignificant rewards.
