Because it’s functional and can be remapped and programmed for. Playing a complex brawler with mouse and keyboard is nonsensical for the same reason a controller isn’t ideal for an FPS. Playing Bayonetta with a k/m setup is a ridiculous notion, and would not be functional.
But, you know, you CAN connect a controller to the PC… so, just having them for the PC would be nice, regardless of control method, I’m just complaining about the console exclusivity.
Well, absolutely, but I was reacting to the notion of playing a high-speed brawler with a mouse and keyboard, not the notion of a PC version. You’re probably out of luck on that with SotC and the God of War games. Sony doesn’t share.
Sony doesn’t share, and they get almost no slack for it. OTOH, Microsoft does share, and if the PC version comes out later, they get a lot of hate. Plus the aura of exclusivity for the 360 is also lessened. I personally think Microsoft would be better off not releasing their own published games for the PC. But eh, I’m personally really glad they do, because sometime I like them better on PC. But it still seems to me that they’d be better off business-wise not to do that, like Sony.

This week, Zero Punctuation reviews Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days.
“Sucks so much dick it now breathes spunk instead of air”.
The boss giving an employee review to the helicopter made me spit coffee on my keyboard.

Other than that, your attendance is good!
OMG that might be one of the funniest reviews he’s done in a looooong time. My head hurts from laughing.

Gotta disagree with one thing, the helicopters I suspect were not just circumstansially going to the head bad guys building, I reckon they were taking K&L to that building to have a good talking to by the head bad guy.
Also, I don’t think many ppl notice it, but the sound also plays a part in the nausea, same effect was used in irreversible. particularly in the last mission.
Fun. Though now that someone’s pointed out the misogyny, boy is it ever hard to ignore.

So that helicopter stuff actually happens? That…makes me more eager to play the game.
I gotta be honest, I feel the same way. So you’re taken prisoner on an armed helicopter and then you take control and start blowing the hell out of a bunch of skyscrapers? Dude, how did I miss this game?

Trust me, it’s not as cool as the description makes it sound.

It didn’t sound cool, it sounded hilarious. Is it hilarious?

It might be, taken on its own out of context, like if you could somehow play it independent of the rest of Kane & Lynch 2. But as part of the game you are likely to already be too miserable from playing the rest of it to enjoy the absurdity of the helicopter sequence.
