I totally understand what he means with the whole “defying physics” thing in the beginning of the review. Killzone 2 did that do, as have some other “space marines in space”-type games. It’s completely stupid.

It does have an abysmal story that’s easy to make fun of. I hated the ending, but I might be slightly predisposed against it since I was watching it on YouTube due to the game erasing my save during the final boss fight.

It’s more competent than he makes it sound (though I was surprised he didn’t get to the janky random instant death platforming), but I’d call it a rental unless you’re really into the aesthetic and atmosphere. Also, don’t bother with the PS3 version until the patch is out.

No, it’s not. It’s not great, either, but he’s really blowing some stuff out of proportion. Of course, that’s the whole point of ZP reviews, so it’s not like it’s some crazy departure from the norm.

What on earth is the problem with this lately? I hadn’t encountered this in 15 years of PC gaming until GFWL erased my Batman saves, and now I’ve heard about it in New Vegas (Steamcloud), Super Meat Boy, and Castlevania. Maybe it’s time to put some redundancy into this shitty software.
