The only thing about the Fable 3 review that disappoints me was Yahtzee not harping on the ridiculous Button Hold Down mechanic that prevaded the game. Otherwise, it was pretty much spot on.
That’s pretty much all my complaints about the endgame rolled into one convenient video form.
No, the US Mario 2 was an improvement on an older title Nintendo developed in association with Fuji TV. It was released (rereleased?) in Japan with its various improved animations and gameplay as “Super Mario USA”.
Super Mario All-Stars is a frankly baffling release, because it’s intended as a collector’s edition in every sense of the word. It was originally packaged for the same sort of limited release it got in the US, but the genuine nostalgia for an SNES port, let alone the place for such a thing in the popular culture making it a legitimate collector’s item, just aren’t present in the US at all, or really anywhere but Japan.
It’s not a legitimate collector’s item? So the game is going for $100+ and is sold out everywhere because…?
Well, they did still produce it in limited quantity. But I don’t think most of the people who bought it bought it to use as more of a conversation piece than a game.
I don’t think that really matters when it comes to defining a game as collectible or not.

I’d like to thank Yahtzee for so eloquently articulating exactly why people love Minecraft so much: Because it allows us to punch Flowers.
Yahtzee remembers he has a Wii and it’s A Shadow’s Tale/Lost In Shadow this week.
Heh. Nice. “They might as well have called it ICO 2: We forgot how to make good games.”
His zinger about getting ICO’s name wrong would hold more water if he didn’t pronounce it wrong the entire time.

How is it supposed to be pronounced? Ick-o?
Australia is a continent. The largest island nation is Greenland.

I recall seeing a trailer that prounounced it “EE-ko”, but I’ve always pronounced it like Yahtzee does.
Eh… potato/potahto. Or perhaps manna/monna.
He’s technically correct… but also a wanker for pointing it out.

The salient point is that ICO is not an acronym or “initialism” (ugh).
I’ve always enjoyed learning things, filing them away, and recalling them later. It amuses me. Unfortunately, the fact that it amuses no one else seldom keeps me from sharing.
