Now I need to think about creative naming in future games. Though honestly, outside of bad JRPGs (and other redundancies), games that ask for a name often never bother to use it again in conversation. Fallout 3 and New Vegas never did, for example.

Call of Juarez: The Cartel this week.

I knew a guy who would always name his character in games “Me.” So he’d know which one he was. True story.

“There is no middle finger big enough.”

Loved that one, he sounded really bitter about this game.

Another XBLA double bill; this time Bastion and From Dust. Not that I should be surprised, but holy crap, he likes both of them. Not that he doesn’t nitpick.

Any spoilers? I intend to get Bastion once it hits the PC.

Bastion’s story is so paper-thin I can’t even imagine what would constitute a “spoiler” for it outside of, like, a strategy guide.

I’m also waiting for Bastion on PC and didn’t feel spoiled by anything in the video, at least.

No spoilers. I think Bastion is best approached blind as far as story goes, so you can enjoy it unfold. I’ve seen written reviews spoil some story points, but none of that here.

For reference, I played the XBLA Bastion.

Many things like music and moments, you ridiculous troll.

Because Yahtzee is so well known for playing game music and scenes from games in his videos. And I think you may need to refresh yourself on the definition of that last word there.

I’m pretty damn anal about spoilers but I can’t see what on Earth you’re getting at here with that ZP review. It’s about as spoilery as a preview done months before the game’s release.

If you want to go as naked as possible into the game, then yeah, I guess you can see it as a bit spoilery, but then why the fuck are you watching a review for the game, numbnuts?

Catherine, aka The Hungry Butt Game. Not really spoilerish though he does broadly describe what to expect.

Red Faction: Armageddon

Contains plot ending spoilers, but he warns you before he does it. That is, assuming anyone cares about the plot of this game in the first place.

And it’s worth spoiling because his mocking of it at the end is the best part.

I don’t watch Zero Punctuation for a game review. I don’t even pay attention for so-called spoilers or whatever. Probably won’t even notice them as such unless he explicitly says “spoilers now”.
I watch it to have a good five minutes of someone wittingly crashing poor design decisions that results in a goofed up game, through his eyes’ perspective.

That’s fascinating.

He spends more time talking about the plot than I did EXPERIENCING it in the game.

That’s why God Created the Escape Key.

I really wonder what he thinks of deus ex.
