I’m working my way through the Zero Punctuation archives. I’m watching them through the escapistmagazine website, but the giant “Rise of Nightmares” ad that wraps around the player is… well, I just can’t look at it anymore. Is there another place/way to view these?

I use adblock and noscript browser extensions, so all I see is the frame. Don’t forget to whitelist your favorite sites!
I stopped short of the spoiler bits. How massive are the spoilers, considering that I plan to play DEHR after some price drops? Is it all stuff that an old jaded gamer would see coming from a mile away regardless?

Thanks to all. Silly me, I didn’t have adblock installed on this browser. I sort of had it in my head that it wouldn’t help, because I thought the ad frame was part of the video player. Anyway, that’s how I would have done it if I wanted to force you to look at the ad. But since that would be a crime against humanity, I wouldn’t have done that. Although I would get a free trip to Belgium!
He doesn’t really say anything about the plot. He just bags on the game (justifiably) for the relatively uninteresting way it ends in abstract terms. It’s on par with “this game ends with a difficult boss fight.” Only it’s not about boss fights, it’s about meaningless the final decision in the game seems.
It’s not something any sane person would use to decide not to purchase the game, though. Or even delay purchasing it.
I was going to ask if I’d like LA Noire if I liked the dialogue battles in this game. I guess my biggest worry is having to deal with the rest of the game. I’ll head to YouTube and find out.

Do you like picking an answer that’s wrong without getting any feedback as to why it was wrong? If so you’ll love LA Noire.
His bit in the end text talking about how he’s called himself a cyborg ever since his first silver filling appealed to me, speaking as someone who possesses a prosthetic ear bone.
(Which is somewhat less effective than a REAL ear bone, which puts into question the practicality of my cyborg nature.)
Wow, he actually convinced me to wanna play this game once it comes down in price. :)

Me too, which is scary. Sounds like good fun for a very cheap price, but not something I’d be at all interested for full price.
Dead Island is this week’s review.
Edit: OMG Danger Mouse reference! YAY!

This week, it’s Resistance 3.
This was one of the funniest I can remember.
Actually looks like a good game. I only played a bit of Resistance 1 and didn’t care for it.

Seconded. He was brilliant this week.
It was interesting to see him do sarcasm in a positive fashion.

Thirded.
So, he accuses Resistance 3 of stealing off a good game and…since except the plot he didn’t berate the gameplay execution itself then I guess they’ve done a pretty good job of ripping off, too. So it might actually be a fun/good game.

I didn’t like Resistance 1 at all, and Resistance 2 had good boss fights but overall was a step backwards from the already blah first game, but Resistance 3 is a really solid shooter. The first entry in the series to hold my attention, and the only game in the series with a real sense of pacing. I hadn’t made the Valve connection until watching the ZP review, but I can totally see Half-Life 2 as a major source of research for R3. And, like Yahtzee, I don’t mind at all if that’s what happened, because they replicated it well.
