Woah, really? Is this for the 360? If so, I think I’m going to Toys R Us tomorrow.

Yes, all versions are $20, I believe. I bought the 360 version.

This is crazy. I have loved Rayman Origins and can’t believe it’s hit the bargain bin already. The music alone is worth the price of admission!

Guess this is the last of these to be made.

Until Ancel manages to force Ubi to let him make another one, at least.

Got the game today (Rayman Origins 360). It was marked at the original 59.99 in the store, but when I rang it up at the register, it rung up as $19.99 plus tax. Woohoo! Nice find delirium!

I’ve played through about 5 or 6 levels, and it is a really cool game so far. I love the feel of the jumping, the feeling of speed through some of the levels, the un-punishing redo on death so that I’m not repeating the same content over and over, the wonderful animations for everything, and on and on. What a lovely game.

This week, it’s Sonic Generations. Somehow, I don’t think it’ll go well.

Daaaaaaamn, this is mean. I love it.

What he was getting at at the start:

Hahahahaha, nice! Should I feel sorry for these fans who apparently get fooled time and time again?

To think I almost bought this game at the Steam Sale. And then recently on the weekend sale. I am glad each time I held back.

“dottering old scrotum face”

To be honest, this was by far the best Sonic game in a very long time and I’ve recommended it to plenty of people. The 3D levels are way above any previous attempts and the 2d levels while lacking some are still quite good for the most part. It only falls down where it tries to force longevity on the game with challenges, etc (the few good ones, very far between).

Unfortunately, saying that isn’t saying a lot simply because of the quality of the previous games. And while this game falls in some of the same potholes, it’s quite easily without question the best Sonic game since the Gamecube. I felt Yahtzee was far more unfair then usual, this is one of the few reviews I’ve ever had even a slight problem with. I do agree though that they seriously missed the ball by not introducing more updated old levels, the first few hours are far superior to anything else.

I’m kind of amazed anyone would even notice which levels were homages/remakes of anything beyond the Dreamcast games.

Hell, doesn’t EVERY Sonic game really just pay homage to past levels?

(The Green One. The Industrial One. The Bouncy Neon One. The One with the Tubes. The Underwater One, The Cave One, etc.)

This week Yahtzee tries out SWTOR and almost doesn’t completely hate it.

Little weird that he doesn’t understand the social conversation system. It’s pretty obvious how it works and that each player gets credit for the moral choice they made, not the one that won the die roll.

I always found Zero Punctuation videos through this thread always floating to the top. So imagine my surprise when I found out today that Yahtzee’s been reviewing games for the past 3 months!

Here’s the ones I missed:

Amy
Resident Evil: Revelations (never even heard of that one)
Darkness 2 (oooooh, one of my favorite games of the year so far, can’t wait to see what he thought of it)
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
NeverDead (another one I’ve never heard of)
Syndicate
Mass Effect 3 (nice. It’ll be interesting to see another take on the game)
Twisted Metal
Yakuza: Dead Souls (I had no idea this was already out).
Ninja Gaiden 3
Silent Hill: Downpour
And finally, the new one this week:
Kid Icarus: Uprising

It’s going to be fun catching up.

The Amy review was so funny. Fish in a barrel week indeed. That was lovely.

This week: Fez and I Am Alive.

Anyone else get the impression that this is dead? I never hear about ZP except when this thread bumps. Like, ever.
