This middle ground of reviewing 7.5/10 forgettable shooters? This was like a “should I buy it” review, which is perfectly legitimate, but, um, the internet is full of those.

Tom told me not to buy Haze like 3 weeks ago, also I told myself not to buy it like a week before that when I saw it’s terrible ad campaign.
“It’s” is not the possessive of “it.” “Its” is. And most everyone knew Haze blows, but this isn’t the first time he intentionally reviews a bad game, and it was still well done.

Good:
“This one was bad. I would prefer X, Y, and Z instead of A, B, and C.”

I’m surprised that he called the game competent. Turok got better reviews then Haze but he disagrees.
I disagree,. I found it pretty entertaining, as I do with all of his articles. I wouldn’t consider it his best by any means, but it did not “suck.” To say it sucked would imply it wasn’t remotely entertaining or funny, and I found it to be both of those. ZP isn’t held to some unattainable high standard in my mind like he and any other internet sensation is held to by frustrated nerds like you that demand consistent perfection or else all bets are off. I certainly didn’t internally dock it points for failing to read my mind about the games I own or whatever the hell your complaint was.
And no, I don’t really care what your complaint was, so don’t bother trying to fire back with an explanation and your usual retort that nobody understands what you’re saying, like you’re full of deep, sophisticated prose that people who have more college degrees than you’ve had sexual partners can’t fathom. Haze is not a 7.5 forgettable shooter. It’s more like a 4.5 “dear god how could people so good have put out something so bad” shooter.
I didn’t get that from his review of Haze. I got that from his review of Turok. His review of Haze definitely seemed to me more like a 7ish.
